[history]
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Too many people in Fayetteville tried to race through intersections before the traffic light turned red, so the city installed cameras to nab red light runners. The traffic cameras are coming soon to Raleigh, Cary and Chapel Hill (also in Rocky Mount - CD). But, before some cameras are up, there is a way around them.

"of impact on the driver side door. "Anyone familiar with this "T-bone" accident knows what a killer it is -- Always look both way before pulling out at the 'green' , and please don't run the 'pink' lite !

When plastic is outlawed, only outlaws will have plastic.

Paintball gun. Hmm... Good idea. Sure the paint would wash off in the rain but this would only require that you sharpen your marksmanship skills once a week or so. Furthermore, if caught, you couldn't be charged with willful destruction of property as you didn't damage anything!

Thanks, I didn't know that.

A lot of these cities that implement the cameras also shorten the time between yellow and red to generate more revenue. A slower yellow light is probably the best way to save lives. This has been documented. Longer yellows save lives. Unfortunately, they decrease revenue. Hence shorter yellows and red light cameras.

Hes a nice guy. Owns Briggs Hardware over by Six Forks and Wake Forest road.

Sure this guy might have some liberal points, but just imagine what Giddy would say if they asked her about stoplight camerasBill, I'm starting to think you have a little crush on ol' Liddy.
Come on, admit it.
You just want to give her a big smooch. =)

The plate-covering company, of course. It could also be turned around and used against the camera companies, since they're also jeopardizing public safety.

Former City Councilman Mark Scruggs spearheaded Raleigh's traffic camera ordinance.
"What they need to recognize is that this is a company trying to make a profit on the backs of the public safety of our citizens, and it shouldn't be accepted. The attorney general should take a hard look at it," he said.
Government officials, including city councilmen under the claim of compassion has a sop of "I'm going to use the government to help the little guy." Most of the time they create a boogieman and claim to protect the safety of the little guy.
"What they need to recognize is that this is a company government trying to make a profit on the fruits of the public safety of our citizens productive citizens' labor , and it shouldn't be accepted. The attorney general should take a hard look at it this government fraud".

Careful. A statement like that could get you branded as a "terrorist" and thrown into a cell next to bin Walker. The first rule of government is to preserve that government at all costs.
...or as a Klingon would say "So'wI' yIchu'!"

You can take out the cameras w/a .22 right into the lens. Of course, you have to be wearing a costume at the time because the lens IS taking your picture.. Only if you were running the red light at the time!

A republican promoting big brother and hidden taxes? A republican bloating the government? A democrat trying to block the big brother legislation? Amazing.
It just goes to show you that the republicrats and the demopublicans are only interested in liberty when it makes them politically successful. Hooray for the eliminator and all of the midnight bb gun camera upgrades!
