Sesame Street to introduce HIV-positive Muppet by Bernie Woodall
New York (Reuters) - Sesame Street will soon introduce its first HIV-positive Muppet character...(snip)
OMED: This approach is heterophobic in nature and is also biased with respect to other diseases. Congress should immediately pass legislation which requires Sesame Street to include in their cast puppets with diseases predominantly suffered by heterosexuals. There should be a diabetic puppet with a bad heart....(snip)

Wonder how many witch doctors the Muppet is going to see? :^)
Wonder how many scenes are going to be from hospitals so children with AIDS won't be as afraid of them?

He won't die. He'll be the Muppet equivalent of "Magic Johnson" (a double entendre if I ever heard one!).
To: bray
They don't have a wheelchair muppet, but they did have an episode not too long ago with a girl in a wheelchair. The girl is now a regular.
A while ago they had a woman with cerebral palsy. I've known people with CP and had no problems with the way it was portrayed.

What about the AIDS epidemic in China? What about the children in Africa now dying of malaria because the liberals have banned DDT?
To: Ensonicus
He he. How about A radical muslim muppet who yells Jihad and blows Israelis and Americans to bits so we can educate people that Islam is a religion of peace
His name is Bert...

I bet this is a site you'd like. I only like the political and geographical photos. The others are just too weird for me.

Don't you remember? it's not a he...that would be stereotyping. IT'S A HER!
To: RightOnline
I know, I know. Still getting used to the idea of seemingly benign children's shows as part of the liberal agenda.
To: WaterDragon
It'd be nice to find out then if Malaria Muppet has already made an appearance.
Don't know how quickly AIDS is spreading in China. Only hear about Africa. Maybe so we'll spend more money on the continent, which will go into the hands of communist warlords. Still haven't figured out the reason, but that seems to be the result.

Say, whatever happened to him anyway? Last I heard he was trying to get back into basketball, then he left.
"What do you think of Mad Cow Disease?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, it was in the news, then it went away. Your thoughts."
"Yes, it was in the news, and then it went away."
"Good point.......Hey!"
