But doesn't that go against what Free Republic stands for? Free Speech? I'm not trying to be insulting, so don't ban me.

What did Brownie say? I didn't see the post that was deleted, but could it have been that bad?

Thanks for the ping.

When I read Rohrabacher's comments yesterday, I thought he was mistaking 245(i) for the lottery. Once again, it seems the INS told the press -- and the American people -- a half truth, by explaining the Egyptian's status by the lottery, and neglecting to mention the 245(i) amnesty.

This murdering Islamist should be the poster boy for all that's wrong with our immigration policies.

From Michelle Malkin's column:

There is no fee to enter the visa lottery. There isn't even a government form. Applicants simply mail a photo, biographical information, and a signature on a plain sheet of paper and wait for the computer-generated drawing results. Losers can keep applying every year. The only eligibility rules are a clean criminal record (other than violating our borders and overstaying visas, which don't count as crimes to our cotton-headed immigration authorities), a clean bill of health (easily faked), and a high school diploma/equivalent or two years of work experience (easily faked).

Good grief -- just how many programs do we have that reward people for breaking immigration laws?

The New York Times said yesterday that Hadayet tried to get a work visa in 1981, and was turned down. They don't even know if he left the country after that. In 1996, he was a fugitive from deportation proceedings (the INS tried wording it nicely, but that's what it amounts to), but got really lucky in the short space of a year, when his wife just happened to hit the jackpot in the lottery (considering all the visa for bribe cases emerging lately, you really have to wonder about that coincidence). Finally, he is rewarded for what was conceivably 16+ years of living here illegally by buying his permanent green card with 245(i).

This story is so heartwarming I think I'm going to be sick.

And considering you went out of your way to be disruptive during the fundraiser, your footing here is very thin at this moment.

Gosh!! Thanks for telling me the truth. I thought I was in trouble for some political statment that I made.

I promise never to be disruptive to a fundraiser again.
I promise never to be disruptive to a fundraiser again.
I promise never to be disruptive to a fundraiser again.

My posting priveliges on FR is not determined by how much money I can or can not give. As far as AF Girl goes, I could care less. As I posted to her that eventful night, I saved everything to disk. Including her FReepmail.

If I am on thin ice for asking one of your Yaa Yaa girls to leave me alone then so be it.

God forbid I should ever get on FRand tell the truth.

This post is saved to disk before I even post it

With all due respect... would you let it go?

I've been waiting for this all to die down before I ping some people to this thread from the other side of the fence. It's a distraction best handled by Freepmail.

See Post #40, you brought up the subject of 'programs' to the poor, which is socialism at my expense. I hate socialism. And here's what you said:

We have aid programs and all sorts of things to benefit poor nations.

If this is the kind of things repubs believe these days, I want no part of it.

Whatever we do with this provision, why don't we at least get rid of the diversity lottery?

Good question. The answer, of course, is that no one has the guts to do it.

What's that classsic sneakypete comment?

You mean "Doesn't Bubba-2 look just DREAMY in his Sombrero?"

BTW,did you hear that the "hot item" for Mexicans to buy now is a small version of Bubba-2's head that bobs around when they set it in the back window of their cars? The deluxe versions even say "Andalee!,Andalee" (or however you spell it)when the driver accelerates, and the eyes blink when the turn signals are used.

where is he?

Back until the end of this week, and then I'm out of here. I'm going to hang around long enough to make a few posts on different threads to notify some people that I'm leaving so they don't ping or send me FR mails and then wonder why I don't answer.

Thanks,Agnes. I just now got "back" from my latest banning. This is twice in a month, and both times were for the same "reason".

Jim,while you are already here on this thread, maybe you can tell us if you agree with me being banned twice in less than 4 weeks for standing up for the Constitution. You or your moderator called it "bashing religion",but what I did was ask the fundie bible-thumpers here on FR who were stating that according to the US Constitution ONLY "Christians" could legally hold public office if non-believers like me,Jews,Buddists,Hindus, etc, etc, etc, who were born in this country were some sort of lesser citizen than Christians. I was immediately banned both times before I could push for a answer, and I'd like to know if you agree with this, and if FR now has a official position that states only "Christians" are "full Americans"? I'd also like to know if there are any other rights that you and the fundie Christians here think only apply to them?

We need you to defend this hard-working contributor to the America Dream. Or do you only defend illegals from south of the border?

I was referring to the American Revolution. But you are right, we are a nation ruled by multiple tin pot dictators; IRS, BATF, FBI, DOE, OSHA, etc.

I would only argue with your contention that we were ruled by a "tin pot" dictator prior to our Declaration of Independance. (Not that we did well to be rid of the King of England...but he wasn't a typical "tin-pot" in the third-world sense of the term..IMHO)
