Vexing that the liberal Minister of Defence has not yet approved the acceptance of the Bronze Stars.
It took 5 years before 3 Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry were allowed to wear the ribbon for the US Presidential Unit Citation that it earned at Kap'Yong in 1951.
And it took 9 years to award Canadian bravery medals for an action in the Balkans on a so-called "peace keeping" job.

Good shooting!

Ask the Govenor General and her footman to attend and the medals will get handed out faster than a speeding locomotive. Or was that a speeding bullet?

Finally, an American sniper tossed him his rifle and said: "Here, you know how to use this better than I do." No comment.

Vexing that the liberal Minister of Defence has not yet approved the acceptance of the Bronze Stars. Well, I'm sure it'll still be available to them once the red tape is cleared.
But it sounds as though you need to improve the 50 cal. ammo your guys normally use as well.
Anyway, congratulations are in order!!!
Kudos for a job well done!

"The Canadian snipers are professional, well-trained soldiers who walk into harm's way and fulfilled their mission. They represent the best and they have our respect."Rah...Rah... for our Canadian brothers in arms!!!!!!!!

Hathcock's record finally falls. I wasn't sure he would ever be beat. I would have preferred it fall to another Marine but such is life.

wow. that's some shot.2,430 meters = a mile and a half.

No, no, no. We do not have "snipers," nor do our friends and brothers-in-arms.
The dirty nasty dung-eating woggies and their communist friends have snipers. We have "Advanced Marksmen."

Bet his quantity record still stands.

Hate to put a damper on this, but the Gunny's shot was don with your run of the mill M-2 using standard ammo.
These guys were using souped up weapons and ammo.
Like scoring home run records using aluminum bats.
Besides it took two shots, what happened to one shot one kill?

WOW!

Maybe the first round was to get the target moving. A moving target is more sporting. These are Canadians after all.

And it took 9 years to award Canadian bravery medals for an action in the Balkans on a so-called "peace keeping" job. I read recently that it took over 20 years for some Canadian unit to be allowed to wear an American decoration won in Korea. Damn shame that good men have to wait that long because of some bureaucrat. But congrats all the way around on their good shooting.
What I can't figure out is how that raghead could have waited around for the second shot, after the first one hit something he was carrying. Must have been stoned or stupid.
