Ron Brown was, by all accounts, just a charming fellow working very hard to promote U.S. business. Why would anyone want to kill him? And who would have the resources to do it by bringing down a large White House airplane?

The answer, in brief, is that Ron Brown was going to prison and threatened to bring Bill Clinton down with him. He was up to his neck in numerous major scandals: Whitewater, the Denver airport mess, Mena, the Keating five, Lillian Madsen and her Haitian prostitutes, etc.

Twenty-two Congressmen wrote to Clinton in February of 1995 demanding that he fire Brown. At the time of his murder, Brown was under investigation by: a special prosecutor in the Justice Department; the FDIC; the Congressional Reform and Oversight Committee; the FBI; the Energy Department; the Senate Judiciary Committee; and even his own Commerce Department Inspector General.

I really think it's like water wearing away the hardest stone- drip by drip, the information is leaking out to more & more of the public. True, for many it won't be worthy of consideration until they see it on TV 24/7, but a lot of very diverse groups of people are coming to realize that there was something fundamentally, unfixably wrong with the entire clinton crew.

I was under the impression that he could connect the dots regarding monies from China to bubba and the giving away secrets under the commerce dept. instead of the energy dept. I promise I'll read your link but wanted to add this to short list. FV

Oh, I think you are right- much high-tech, dual-use tech, and outright national secrets were moved from various departments into the Commerce Dept., where they "oddly" seemed to disappear. There are stories within stories and wheels within wheels here.
