A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day 07-08-02

A Few of FR's Finest.....
......Every Day

FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues;  salute
and support our military and our leaders;  tell a few jokes;  learn a new
word;  write poetry;  pray for those in need;  and congratulate those who
are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which
we can express ourselves.

Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.  I
can remember lurking when there were only a few regulars who posted, and now there are over 60,000 who have registered for posting privileges. The forum is read daily by tens of thousands
of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest November 11, 2001

So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I can no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I've been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.

Still that doesn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why, in addition to seeing FR's Finest Military Personnel every day, I thought it might be fun to feature a different FReeper (or FReepers) each day. If you would like to be pictured, or know someone who would, please FReepmail me and we'll turn the spotlight - on YOU - for the day!

And do let me know if you'd like your picture added to the groups of Veterans/Active Military below. I will keep this page updated, and continue to add them to the comment section of the original Veteran's Day thread as well.

Show Me The Money!

You see a lot of this guy for about a week to 10 days....four times a year. You can't get away from him. He's at the top of your mailbox, the top of your comments page....he's everywhere! You watch that little red bar crawl across the page.....39%.....46%......51%....we're halfway there, folks ......69% .......85% ........96% ......come on, FReepers, we're almost there .........99%
.........100%! YOU DID IT!

BadJoe on CNN, delivering his award-winning essay at the March for Justice in Washington, D.C. October 31, 1998.
BadJoe is one of FR's biggest cheerleaders, having been around since February of 1998. Remember the Pool Poopy thread? LOL One of the very first get-togethers that FR had, at JimRob's house.....it lasted for 40 days and 40 nights. (no, not really!) That party, as well as the photos that Jim posted are still being talked about, though the thread and the photos are long gone down the Memory Hole. :)

BadJoe was at that party. When many local chapters of FR were being organized, Joe was there to help in any way. FR's Jim Robinson has thousands of FReeper FRiends all over the country, but none any better than BadJoe. If he's needed anywhere, count on it......he'll be there. Thanks, Joe, for being one of FR's Finest..... today and every day.

Today's Your Day, BadJoe! Have a great one!

You didn't think I'd forget your beautiful boss WillaJohns, did you?

Posting graphics is really simple - you just have to find what you want to post already ON the net, and ones that don't restrict your linking to their site. A little practice, and you'd be posting them in no time! A simple html command that any of us could show you if you're really interested. :)

Nice buns Who!

Have you purchased your Johnny's Garlic Caesar product, and done what needs to be done with it yet?

I sat here and pecked out all that receipe, and no words of praise, condemnation, gratitude, curses on your children to the umpteenth generation - I mean no feedback whatever, whoever.

Help me out here ShrimpGal. ;-)

Food of the gods, or what?

..I mean no feedback whatever..

Well, sir. That product is not available locally. I will have to search it out online. I have been very busy posting and watching fireworks, etc. I am anxious to try it, though. When I do, I will tell you how wonderful your recipe is.

That page is really pretty, but if you want to hear "Softly As I Leave You" just melt you, then listen to John Gary sing it. Oh, my, it's better than "Calgon, Take Me Away. :) Who can listen to it and not be transported to some romantic place in time?

      Sigh!

Creepy and kooky!

I think Cousin It may have been at the last Fresno Freep....though he was rather too loyal to be a leftist, imho....family values and all. (^:

I'd love to if you have written instructions. McLynnan tried to teach me how to post pictures--didn't work. I still will try later.

I'm caretaker for my mother (dementia) and I rarely finish anything I start. When it isn't my mother, it's the dog. I've been up and down twice since I started this. But I'd appreciate help; just don't want to waste your time.
