President Bush, along with his wife, Laura, and daughter, Jenna, departed today for their annual trip to Kennebunkport, Maine. Well-wishers gave the President an early birthday send off today since Bush will be spending his birthday, July 6th, in Maine. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Well all, it has been a wonderful chat - However, I have weeding to attend to early in the morning and I had better hit the hay (since we are in Crawford Texas talking mode!) Keep up the good work!

New Braunfels is being evacuated?! Oh gosh. And Fredericksburg...how's Fburg doing?
To: GUIDO
Guilty - I am from California. However, our county ALWAYS votes Republican. In our town you have to HUNT for the Democrat office. Does that help?
To: homeschool mama
Yes, at least that's what I WAS doing before school was out. So far this week I've only been on the treadmill two times. Of course, I don't have time to eat with my chauffeur duties.

I know what you've both told us. I only see one of the two of you right now. If you turn around maybe you can find Grammie.
To: The Californian
Nice meeting you! Glad another h-schooler is in the Dose Ranks.

If I can figure out the AOL thing, I may join you. I am still trying to lose some baby weight (after 15 years we decided to try for one more) - I'll ask my teenagers how to work it.
To: The Californian
What county are you in? I'm in Sac County.

If I turn around all I'm gonna find is my rear end...and I'm biking up a storm to lose that puppy!

Oyez. Love that water bottle!

LOL, they are even worse than the NE Patriots. The basketball program has really come along, but they can't seen to get the football program moving. I saw Jim Angle in a local restaurant once last summer, and you're right that people here like the Fox News people.

TexanaRED has posted on that thread now (#187 and following) ..... the things she says are amazing ....
... I am fine and in good spirits. As I have walked around and talked to my neighbors, I more fully realize how fortunate I am. Just the next couple of streets over, there ware many homes with extensive damage. So many of those folks were low income families whose homes were not far waway from being tar paper shacks. Many elderly on fixed incomes - just so many people that were less fortunate than I before the flood. My heart breaks for them.
She is truly living and feeling that saying about feeling sorry for one's self for having no shoes and then seeing someone who had no feet. May God bless her!
