I took a friend to the airport recently and they had security at the parking lot, but they were to busy talking on their cell phones to exaimine my SUV, just waved me thru the checkpoint. Security here is a joke.

As someone already mentioned though, you just can't secure everything. If you secure the terminals, then people will wait outside and be targets. If you secure the parking lots, then cars will queue up outside the lot and be targets. If not the airports, then like in Israel they will target malls, cafe's, clubs, movie theaters, supermarkets. If he wanted to kill Jews, he could've killed them in a synagogue or day center too.
