BTW -- been reading your San Antonio posts -- good work CedarDave is correct -- it was good work. You should become a reporter for real, though your penchant for accuracy is not likely to get you far in today's media world.

no, but his full support of haun said enough in that vein. Reason I ask is, as governor, he has the power (I won't say the right) by executive order to order confiscation of privately owned firearms in the event of a statewide emergency.
And it's just like him to order the entire resources of law enforcement to collect millions of firearms with terrorists running loose in California.
How did this guy get to be governor when he's not qualified to drive a garbage truck?

If the CNN report can be believed, the earlier report of the suspect being 52-years old may have been left over from the Howard Stern hoax.
To: Cachelot
Not necessarily. They could have sawed him in two and counted the growth rings... oh, wait.. for that to work it would have to have been... Gore? He was searched recently at an airport. Maybe that screener was smarter than we'd thought.
To: Cachelot
They could have sawed him in two and counted the growth rings Or looked at his teeth ... (like a horse)
That is a good point, if he had no ID on him, how the heck do they know he's 52 years old and not "50-ish". Which makes me believe the authorities know more than they're telling.

Looks like I was wrong about this being minor. If it was a person sympathetic to the ME fanatics then once again the Base shows they have a very weak base of support to draw upon for these jobs. This lone gunman was supposed to kill a bunch of people but the dumbass started in the wrong spot. If he would have done this in any other part of the airport we would have probably had high casualties. Instead he unloads right in front of probably the only actual battle hardened security people in the terminal.
I'll go ahead and assume any El Al security detail is comprised of retired IDF. Probably some of the most talented soldiers from within those ranks. Numnuts probably took 1 or 20 between the shoulderblades.

Oh well, my
eighth post on this thread -- I miscalculated before (and sorry I didn't see yours):
Yes, reporters and "anchors" can be lazy and stupid -- that's why I avoid cable news -- but isn't Howard Stern seeking out weak spots in the news biz a little like terrorists seeking out weak spots in our security? What are his minions trying to prove anyway? They're lucky they haven't caused a disaster yet.
One other thing: Howard Stern and Dan Rather have the same rapacious bosses. The sins of Dano do not justify the sins of Howard. Indeed I can't distinguish their sins because they're part of the same contemptible industry. I can hear Stern's defenders cry, "He's a populist!" And true, on rare occasions Stern does try in his confused way to stand up for the common man; but then I remember Mel Karmazin and I think -- he's just another vastly overpaid corporate-toadying slob.

This FBI guy is freaking clueless!!!!A crusty old NYC Police SGT, told me 35 years ago about the three greatest falicies. 1. Home Cooking, 2. Home f******, and the FBI.

Who in their right mind believes that these terrorists are mentally bright. I mean they have killed more of each other with untimley detonated bombs than Israelis. That does not mean that they are any the less dangerous.
To: Little Bill
"and the FBI."
A friend of mine, an undercover narc on the L.A. Sheriffs dept. told me that the FBI couldn't follow a menstrating elephant in a snow bank.
The last few years the keystone kops make the FBI look bad.

The KKK took my baby away! Joey Ramone Bump.

Gore doesn't have any rings to count. I'm pretty sure he's made of pressed pencil shavings.
To: kinghorse
nope, no IQ test for martyrs. good observations. bump.

....make the FBI look badYou got that right, I am in charge of security at a "Targeted Facility", in FBI speak, along with my other duties. These people are Bozo's, the Coast Guard and the local police are easier to deal with and have their act somewhat together.
