..both the 99 and 5 were closed due to fog....and a big time major accident..Yes, it is. Folks just will NOT slow down when they cannot see six inches in front of them.
Usually 100 cars, trucks, vans, buses, trailers, etc are involved. That ties up the freeways even more while they try to rescue and sort out the damage.
Folks are just in too much of a hurry these days and willing to risk many lives for a few minutes on the highways.

Whasssuuup!
Too cute!

I give to the Salvation Army, the VFW, FR and the church. As do I. The Red Cross has never gotten one dime out of me. The Salvation Army does God's work. They are a great charity that I have proudly supported for years and years.
I can't even begin to comprehend what it must be like to lose everything. This is just awful. I will certainly do what I can to help. I don't think I have had the pleasure of meeting TexanaRed, but I have seen her on various threads. She's a FReeper, so she is family as far as I am concerned.

A half full glass.
To: dutchess
Hi dutchess, glad you stopped by. I haven't had much time today to hang around here, I've been in and out most of the day. I finally get here and almost everyone is gone. :-(
To: dansangel
Great big {{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}} to both of you! Thanks so much, can never get too many hugs. :-)
Nice to see you today.

Thank you. When it comes to shrimp, you may change your mind. You have no idea how much I can eat. I love those things.
Ok, I know I'm late, but I know someone saved some shrimp for me.
Whoever, gotta love ya just 'cause ya seem to love shrimp as much as me. I can eat my fair share of 'em too.
To: Mama_Bear
Hello Mama_Bear. Thanks for the work ya do on the threads. I may not get by much to say so, but it's appreciated.

I am a figment of the imagination.
I've been meaning to ask...What if one has a very vivid imagination? That would make all things possible.
To: philman_36
Hi philman! You are appreciated too. This thread would be nothing if it weren't for you and the others who come by here. Please stop by whenever you get a minute and if you know of a FReeper that you feel is one of FR's Finest and would like to see them recognized here, let me, or Billie, or daisyscarlett know. We'd be happy to spotlight them.

..Ok, I know I'm late, but I know someone saved some shrimp for me. ..Since this is cyberville, the shrimp are plentiful. They just replace themselves. Never run out of those. (lodwick sees to that.)
The man can serve up a mighty fine mess of shrimp.

Ok, I know I'm late, but I know someone saved some shrimp for me. Philman, you can have my share. I never acquired a taste for the things. I keep trying them, thinking that THIS time I will like them, but it isn't going to happen. This bear likes steak and tatters - REAL food. LOL!

Forrest GumpBubba Blue (Mykelti Williamson)
Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. There's, um, shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp and lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich... That's, that's about it.

I am at your mercy.
LOL! At my tender mercies. I'm not always the ruffian, despite what some may think.
To: Mama_Bear
Well thank you.
This bear likes steak and tatters - REAL food.
I'll take my fair share of that too. I'll eat almost anything that doesn't eat me first. I'm not real picky when it comes to eating. The more common the better to me. I'll even go with corn bread with ground meat and red beans if that is what is on the menu.
Though I did develop a yen for cordon bleu some years ago.

I'd like to thank you for linking that gif. I haven't changed or added anything to my homepage in a while except for bookmarks. It's got something added now.
I really like that.

For the night owls or early risers:
~ His Promise ~
Each time you greet a stranger
or share a heartfelt smile,
you pass along His kindness
and it lingers for a while.
Each time you help a friend out
or a neighbor you don't know,
You give of His compassion
and make the goodness grow.
Each time you stop to listen
or judge not anothers' trials,
You show His understanding
and it travels on for miles.
Each time you soothe a burdened heart
or shoulder someone's tears,
You spread His unconditional love
that lives through all the years.
Each time you "love thy neighbor"
as He has always loved you,
You light a candle of hope and joy
to last a lifetime through.
Although our lives may differ,
and our good and bad points too,
I know you are a special soul,
and He brightly shines through you!

DROP A PEBBLE
Drop a pebble in the water:
just a splash, and it is gone;
But there's half-a-hundred ripples
circling on and on and on,
Spreading, spreading from the center,
flowing on out to the sea.
And there is no way of telling
where the end is going to be.
Drop a pebble in the water:
in a minute you forget,
But there's little waves a-flowing,
and there's ripples circling yet,
And those little waves a-flowing
to a great big wave have grown;
You've disturbed a mighty river
just by dropping in a stone.
Drop an unkind word, or careless:
in a minute it is gone;
But there's half-a-hundred ripples
circling on and on and on.
They keep spreading, spreading, spreading
from the center as they go,
And there is no way to stop them,
once you've started them to flow.
Drop an unkind word, or careless:
in a minute you forget;
But there's little waves a-flowing,
and there's ripples circling yet,
And perhaps in some sad heart
a mighty wave of tears you've stirred,
And disturbed a life was happy
ere you dropped that unkind word.
Drop a word of cheer and kindness:
just a flash and it is gone;
But there's half-a-hundred ripples
circling on and on and on,
Bearing hope and joy and comfort
on each splashing, dashing wave
Till you wouldn't believe the volume
of the one kind word you gave.
Drop a word of cheer and kindness:
in a minute you forget;
But there's gladness still a-swelling,
and there's joy circling yet,
And you've rolled a wave of comfort
whose sweet music can be heard
Over miles and miles of water
just by dropping one kind word.
