Why there have been NO attacts since 9-11?

Why there have been no attacts since 9-11?

This is my first self serving post and maybe my last.

I know many old time freepers may think I am nuts, if so reply with your own reasons.

I think that the media has given them so many ideas of ways to kill us and hurt us in the pocket book that they don’t know where to start.

This is an aside: I have been fighting “fire ants” here at the house for the last three years. I never thought to ask myself why they hate me so, I just looked for their beds and killed as many as I could. This year I used some bad stuff and killed some of their leaders, now I see just a few going around in a daze but I am not going to let up.

Mr. Bush, why don’t we try this with terrorist, it will work.

Why haven't we seen more attacks?

We have, they've just been tried by the Al-Quesadilla organization--the name translates from Arabic as "those who had to ride the short camel to their madrassa school."

They listened to too much Pat Benatar, they hit us with their best shot--and now it's OUR turn.

Mess with the bull, get the horns, Osama.

You pose an excellent question. It's like we're all waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's common knowledge that there are terrorist sleeper cells in this country. Why have they not been apprehended? What will it take?

Terrorism is not a strategic form of warfare. It depends on surprise and paranoia in the nation being attacked for it's tactics. This does not mean we will not be attacked again. It means that the terrorists will choose the time and place of the next attack while we anticipate where it will occur.

A reasonable solution is one the Isralies have. Allow those that qualify to carry concealed weapons. It works. Ask the woman who shot the Palastinian bomber in the market a few months ago. She shot him right through the head before he could kill many people.

Now, concealed carry is only available state to state. and then some choose not to have it at all. But there should be a NATIONAL CCW available.

I know there are those that would think the 2nd Amendment is all the "law" they need to carry concealed, but it begs a question. Do you know someone you would NOT trust with a firearm? I bet you know quite a few. I know quite a few I wouldn't trust with a squirt gun much less a firearm. You want them to carry?

What is not common knowledge is how competent these sleepers are.

The really smart ones went out in a blaze of glory on 9/11. The question is, "Just how good are their second-string players?"

Why have they not been apprehended? What will it take?

Probable cause--and that means a lot of hard work. But there are Freepers out there who scream bloody murder at the idea of giving the FBI the power it needs to actually perform the required investigations.

Add to the list the Anthrax attacks and ???? Flight 587 ????

Anyway, I like your fire ant analogy - I always think in terms of yellow jackets - but it's the same concept - you've got to seek out their nests and destroy them before they multiply and make your life miserable. It's not a hatred thing, it's just common sense.

There's a reason that so many are mistrusting of the FBI - we've all been conditioned by 8 years of The President's War on Americans (Waco, RubyRidge, OKC, how many snuffed by the DEA, etc.). We know that Reno is gone from Washington DC, but there are so many 'toon holdovers left that it is damn hard to trust some of the alphabet soup agencies with our rights after they've shown such an inherent tendency to promptly defecate on them. Don't get me wrong, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone so completely patriotic as I, but once bitten twice shy.

Don't know about "attacts." Perhaps a better question is...Why there have been no attacks since 9-11? ; )

(Spelling police on patrol) : )

I think I heard Donald Rumsfeld make a good comment on this issue, when he was being interviewed recently on CNBC. He pointed out that every time we interdict one of their cells, operations, plans, etc., they "go to school on us", in other words, they study "what we know about them, how we came to know about it, and what they can do to bypass that hurdle in the future".

In other words, they are trying to walk softly and carry a big stick, just as we are trying to walk softly and take away their big stick - without them learning too much as to how we did it. Or something like that.

Well, it's pretty clear there really was no "Grand Campaign" of terror that 9/11 was to kick off. It was a good idea, moderately well planned, and they got lucky. But there was nothing in particular planned aftwards. Then their network got massively disrupted.

And the number of "sleepers" has been massively exaggerated on FR, most likely. In terms of actual AL QUEDA, trained-for-terror, actually personally taking part in attacks, people, I suspect the number not already arrested in the US is under 50 (possibly WELL under.)

To inflate the numbers people lump in fundraising networks for Hamas and such, which isn't quite the same thing.

Not especially, but many of them did so before the advent of CHL in Texas, and still do, without benefit of a CHL license. So who is stopped by the procedure? The law abiding, or, at least in Texas, those with $$ deficiencies. It's not a cheap procedure. The license fee is about twice what the course costs, which is pretty ridiculous when you come to think about it, since it's the course that does some good, not the shuffling of papers.
