"Perhaps that's what Vice President Gore should have been talking about - what happened on their watch as opposed to the progress we've made on our watch," Powell told "Fox News Sunday," after being asked about Ijaz's claims. It's time for the Admin to say it like it is. Diplomacy with a bite.

I agree! Glad that the Admin is hitting back. I don't want to see full-scale squabbling break out, but the Dems just get emboldened by polite silence. And it's good to see that the person doing it was Powell, since the Dems are always trying to imply that he's not really with Bush in his actions.

the Secretary of State becomes the highest ranking Bush administration official to endorse Mr. Ijaz's claims, which have been all but ignored by the mainstream news media journalist looking for material bump

Clinton friendly media reporters like the New York Times' Judith Miller and NBC newswoman Andrea Mitchell have explained their own decisions not to cover Ijaz's claims by saying he lacks credibility. Miller said she established Ijaz's lack of credibility by contacting former Clinton administration sources. BWWWAAAHHAAAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......
OH, GOD, SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME.......
BWWWAAAHHAAAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......

This is wonderful that Powell said this. Libs always hold Powell up as only reasonable person in Bush administration. Republicans are finally fighting fire with fire. And from "mushy" Powell, no wonder.
To: kattracks
Powell called Gore's remarks "patent nonsense"I call that 'pretty bold talk'.....for Powell.

Gore sent the FBI to arrest "perpetrators" after Americans were murdered in embassies in Kenya, Tanzania, and the USS Cole.
How many arrests did they make? Is "bin laden" in jail because the clinton FBI got their man?
The blood of our murdered sailors and citizens cries from the ground for justice, and it is being achieved, but not because of ANY effort by that former clueless administration.

are you overclocking the processor?
To: Bandolier
yeah, that's a good one!

If Gore had kept his attack to Bush's turf he would have had no problem. But he stepped into Powell's turf and that merited a swing back. Powell will swing back if he senses that the slap is directed at his baby.

I don't think you can with this thing... it's an IBM "Opal" board from circa 1993- I can't recall offhand that there were any user-jumpable settings for speed or voltage. There's a provision from raising the on-board cache from 64K to 128K ( don't think I have the right IC's in my box of parts ) and in theory the BIOS will recognize up to 64mb of RAM. More RAM would certainly speed it up some. The current 16mb ( 4 x 4 ) was all we could afford.

Just when I am about to give up on Powell as terminally beholding to State Department mentality and towards appeasing the Palestinians or the Democrats or anyone but conservatives, he goes and does this.
Maybe he is always playing a role in a high-stakes "good cop/bad cop" routine.

As Powell sees many of his own ideas proven defective, especially in matters having to do with the Palestine, Arafat, Israel, and Mideast issues...
And time and again finds that the policies of Condoleeza, Rumsfeld, and Cheney prove to be what is required...
I say Powell is both self-important, and a SLOW learner...but not THAT slow! Further, the rumors he might be leaving are bound to have had a salutary effect. IMHO he could not be blasted out of [caused to voluntarily leave] State not even with a Pally suicide bomber!

[New York Times Reporter] Miller said she established Ijaz's lack of credibility by contacting former Clinton administration sources.Oh, well, then the story is disproven. All you need to do is contact a Clinton ex-official, and whatever they say is gospel truth. No need to probe any further. Game, set, match.
This is what passes for 'reporting' in the Noo Yawk Slimes.

By the way, why didn't Clinton want Osama when he had a chance from Sudan? Osama had the means to make it worth Willie's consideration. Not accusing Willie but wondering.

Miller said she established Ijaz's lack of credibility by contacting former Clinton administration sources.
Pretty much says it all. Miller is a Clintonoid hack.
