E. D. Hill (Donahey) Rips Dr, Newdow
Fox and Friends | 6/27/02

Posted on 06/27/2002 5:16:02 AM PDT by CaptRon

E.D. and Steve Doocy just interviewed Dr. Newdow.

E.D. was all over him about using his daughter just to bring the suit. He admitted this, and, upon her pressing him, admitted that his daughter includes "under God" when she recites the pledge.

E.D. was relentless!

I loved the way Edie interviewed this schmuck!!! She was polite but relentless and made the guy look like a bigger @ss than we already knew he was.

This CLYMER keeps saying he did this for his little daughter, but the record shows he's an atheist gadfly who first filed a lawsuit in Florida to get "In God We Trust" removed from our currency. Was he doing that for the sake of his daughter also?

I hope this guy keeps doing interviews. He's his own worst enemy--LOL.

I believe he was quoted as saying (paraphrasing here) that he didn't want his daughter to feel alienated/ostracized for not saying/leaving out the "Under God" part of the Pledge because kids can be so cruel at that age.

He didn't want his daughter to feel ostracized????

Naw, now this little Pledge of Allegiance case won't make her feel ostracized at all . . .

And this guy's a doctor? What a MORON.

Hmmm...so his beef is the school is sabotaging the religious values (how many times have we heard that atheism is a religion?) he's trying to teach his daughter.

How many times have we heard Christians justifiably claim that when some of these lefty teachers start their Earth Day-Gaia modell?

The best approach is this: Drop the words "under God". Use this as a wedge to get the moment of silence to follow the Pledge in classrooms. And use the precedent to get rid of the Earth-worship crap we hear about all the time.

Anyone have info so as to Freep this Newdow charachter??

He doesn't even seem to be an atheist. From the way he phrases his arguments, he comes off as a guy who at least believes in some sort of God, but is massively angry at said deity for reasons we'll probably never know. So instead he calls himself an "atheist" because being a mere "deist" carries even less philosophical weight.

Ahhh, don't waste your time. I'm sure there are thousands upon thousands of people jamming his phone lines and writing him hate mail already, to say nothing of the fact that he's being vilified by the President of the United States, every member of both houses of Congress (well, maybe not Cynthia McKinney), and is having his name raked over the coals every 15 minutes on the cable news channels. He's already suffering at cheney levels (aka Big Time), you can be assured of that.

But the worst thing of all for him is, his little plan has backfired. He has just guaranteed that those words "under God" will finally be made absolutely, unquestionably legal to be uttered in public schools under US law. If the Supreme Court does not overturn the ruling, a Constitutional amendment to gurantee the right to say the Pledge is virtually guaranteed.

Someone should dig up what's hizname's connections. It's easy to see he's part of the radical left's strategy to marginalize the American mainstream by way of legal activist judges. I look forward to the word on this loser by tomorrow.

Not to worry. God has a sense of humor. His daughter will probably grow up to be a minister, just as Madeline Murray OHare's son did. At this point,he's just using the daughter as a pawn, and when she's old enough to think for herself (and especially when she rebels against dear old dad), she'll find she has another (heavenly) father who still loves her.
