Vanity: The Pledge of Allegiance is Unconstitutional - If That Doesn't Convince You What Will?
June 26, 2002 | Jim Robinson

This is your wake-up call

My friends, I've been taking a lot of flak lately because of my stand on President Bush and the Republicans. Well, my thinking is that the coming elections are so critical that the very continuation of America as we know it may be at stake.

All of our institutions are controlled by liberals. Both houses of Congress are awash in liberals and socialists and moderates and very few conservatives. The Courts are infested with liberal activist judges. Our media and entertainment industries are overrun by liberals. Our universities are overrun by liberals. Our public education systems are overrun by liberals. The liberals control public opinion through their controlled nightly news programs and their daily liberal newspapers. My God, the whole damn country is run by hordes of mushy headed liberals and socialists in biblical proportions! And now they even have the audacity to openly attack patriotism and even God Almighty Himself!

A United States Federal Appeals Court in California has declared the

Pledge of Allegiance to be unconstitutional! And this simply because it contains the phrase, "Under God." I'm speechless! I just sit here and shake my head. Don't even know what to say.

Wake up America! We've been saying that for years. The far right-wingers have been shouting it for decades. Wake up America! Wake up America, the socialists are coming!

And now it's here. The Republic is in grave danger. The liberal activist judiciary has tested the waters. If America does not wake up and not only say no, but hell no to this abomination, then what will the emboldened court take next? Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not gonna sit around on my butt doing nothing while we find out.

Call to action: Get off your Butts! Call or write your reps! Voice your opinion. Demand that they do something about this. Tell them that America will not allow this outrage to stand! Demand of your Senators that they move President Bush's judiciary appointments through the Senate! The Democrat controlled Senate is holding up his appointments, hoping to delay as many as they possibly can until Bush appoints judges more to their liking, or possibly even until they can get Gore or Hillary elected in 2004. God forbid!

And, I'm convinced more than ever, that we must have a complete turnover of the judiciary in the next decade. This is critical. The liberal activist judiciary is getting more and more aggressive. If we do not get some conservative judges in there pretty soon, this game is going to be over.

How do we get conservative judges? Well, I can guarantee you that we will not get them as long as the Senate is controlled by Democrats. We must have a Republican President to appoint conservative judges and we must have a Republican majority so they will be moved through the Senate. This is one of the primary reasons why I want to push so hard to help elect Republicans to the Congress and especially to the Senate. And this is why I want to push so hard to help re-elect President Bush in 2004.

Wake up America! And wake up right-wingers! Vote out the Democrats. Vote in a huge Republican majority so we can retake America from the liberals!

We cannot afford a loss or even a squeaker in the next couple of elections. We must have Reaganesque landslides! Send them to Washington with a mandate from the American people! We want a complete turnover and makeover of the judiciary and all of the government. Give is back our Liberty!

This is not the time for sending a negative message. It does us no good for conservatives to sit on their hands or to vote third party. The only message that sends is to say you don't care if we have wall-to-wall liberals forever. The Democrats will love you. The liberal activist judiciary will love you.

The message you should send is one by pen and ink, or by phone calls and personal meetings. Send a message now to your congressmen and to the Republican Party. Now is the time to send the message. Tell them what we want them to run on and what we want them to do when they get in there. Send them a positive message filled with patriotism and love for God and Country. Tell them that we are fed up with the liberals and we want our country back and we want our rights back. Tell your relatives and your friends and neighbors. Tell them to write and call and visit. And tell them to vote for the Republican in their districts. We must do this if we want it back. We cannot afford to fail.

God bless you all and thank you for bearing with me. I love my country and I love my freedom more than life itself. I don't care what anyone says about me, or what labels they pin on me. From this day forward I am a Bush-bot and proud of it! I am going to help turn this thing around or I'm going down in flames trying.

FReegards,

Jim Robinson

Come on. You're being ridiculous. The Justice Department should seek redress? The President should have the judges arrested for upsetting people? A Constitutional amendment? Give me a break. This decision isn't even going to stand.

The fact is that Constitutional Conservatives are few & far between in the GOP---especially in their leadership. Several of them are One-Worlders, & have no complaint to the incease in size of government when it suits THEIR particular interests. I know, the way the 2 major parties have rigged the political process over the last several decades means that those who truly support the Constitution have no other place to go other than the GOP if they want to have their voice heard, & I can begrudgingly accept that. Thanks to America's moral decline & the government taking control of the schools, it will be almost impossible to teach the coming generations the truth about the Constitution. It's words will be turned around to be the exact opposite of Original Intent--& those of us who criticize this are called Right Wing nut cases who don't care about the future of our kids! Gimme a break!

America's enemies get angry when you quote Thomas Jefferson at them.

I understand that the majority of folks here are Christian... not everybody is.

I don't care if kids recite "under God". I don't care if prayer is in school. I don't care which religion is mentioned in school. I do care that we have the right to mention God in school or public buildings if we chose.

Congress once authorized the importation of 20,000 Bible. When that didn't work out, Congress authorized the printing of the first Bible in America. Jefferson attended a 4 hour comunion service at the Treasury Department. He also signed a law giving lands to missionaries so they could convert Native Americans to the Christian faith. Regular full Sunday services were held in the House of Representatives until after the Civil War. Jefferson belonged to a faith, Unitarian, which was supported, in some states, by state taxes.

How can you possibly assert there is any constitutional basis for censoring religious speech? Separation of church and state is fiat law. It is of recent origin--1947 was the first ruling. It is judicial tyranny. The Soviet Union wrote separation of church and state and the separation of church and school in their constitution. America did neither.

The public in general has more clue than a lot of public schools, who seem all too often to specialize in elite ignoramuses. If forced to choose between bad and worse, the smart money is on bad.

Please list the One-Worlders in the GOP. I'd like to know their names.

It will only continue and that is why I think a Constitutional Amendment is needed....don't you get it? Once they get slapped down by the SCOTUS on this, judges will go after something else. We need a way to end it permanently and now is a good time when the blood is still boiling.

As for the Justice Dept. seeking redress, that is not my quote. That is from Ari Fleischer. Take that up with him.

No it is a numbers game. It makes no difference if Rino's are elected to the Senate. It makes a WORLD of difference in who chairs the Judiciary committees however.

Oh yes we need another Orrin Hatch on the Judicary Committee. See it does indeed make a very profound difference. Was or was not the GOP a majority during this time? This is the type of crap I say has to cease otherwise there is not going to be any change. I don't care how much you wish it so. It's called stop putting idiots in positions where they can do the most damage. The GOP has not learned that lesson yet.

But take a good look at the GENERAL public that you think should educate their kids at home .. Do you REALLY think they could homeschool their kids properly ???

Hell yes. People are not as stoopid and incompetent as you seem to think. It doesn't Take a Village to raise a child. Any type of schooling--heck, even NO school--would be better than the mandatory socialist indoctrination camps that we call public schools.

You appeared to support a complete separation of church and state in that post and that is why I posted all that to go against a view of a total separation.

I must have misunderstood you. I just copied and pasted some stuff I have. It wasn't like I spent more than even 30 seconds replying to you...:)

thanks for the nightmares I'll have tonight

The possibility that Charlie Rangel will be writing our tax code, Henry Waxman rooting out government corruption and John Conyers seeing the Justice Department functions well does concentrate ones mind on what kind of a nation we will have if Democrats are not roundly defeated this fall.

"I am for freedom of religion and against all maneuvers to bring about a legal ascendancy of one sect over another."

Part of the problem is that loose constructionism has gone totally haywire. Where "sect" was once understood to be the "unestablishable" thing, now it is any nod to God at all. A city can't even put a creche on the lawn of city hall without accompanying it with Santa Claus nowadays. Geez Louise.

No, just pondering things. I wanted to get a feel for what others were thinking. However, I personally would be willing to seperate the two if given the choice between that and "In Alla We Trust"...know what I mean?

Look you obviously cannot be convinced and in no way am I trying. I laid out my rationale and you rejected it. You have every right to participate in the election of liberals with your protest vote. I guess that is great position to be in with “ don’t blame me I voted for INSERT FAVORITE 3rd PARTY CANDIDATE NAME HERE”. You are never wrong.

Oh Good Grief .. I am not advocating the school system .. There are some MAJOR problems with it .. which is why I DO NOT send my kids to public schools ..

And yes I do think there are some stupid people .. they voted for Clinton .. not once .. but twice .. and I forget how many times they voted for Uncle Teddy Kennedy .. or the Midget Dashole .. should I go on ...

Forget the "Under God". That was just the excuse used to disallow students in PUBLIC schools, paid for by TAXPAYER dollars to PLEDGE (promise) ALLEGIANCE (loyalty) TO THE FLAG (country) OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Well, not that anybody cares what I think but I think they did America a favor today! They ticked us off! I have been seething all day. I can't recall being this mad ever! Seriously. On Yahoo, the story about the pledge; if you follow to their message board, there were over 15,000 posts on it hours ago. People are mad.

Hopefully, we'll grow some big ones and do something this time! I will.

"I am sitting here reading through this and anticipating that you would've had the requisite address' and phone Numbers in order to begin a FReep of "Biblical proportions" at the end of the post."

The man stated a call to arms and you want to sit on the sidelines and criticize a perceived lack of detail. Jim Robinson well understands and appreciates that the participants of this forum are an exceptional braintrust and will research and post whatever info is needed to successfully impact the mission - I've seen it time and again.

There are those who talk and there are those who do. You want to take potshots or help?
