Even if I were not a Christian, which I am, as an historian, I would fight for the reversal of this decision. The Pledge is a part of our cultural identity, as ALL of our history is a part of our cultural identity.

These people seem to be deliberately targeting our heritage in order to throw us as a nation into chaos. Divided we fall. The people who took our pledge, and in places banned our flag...they are the definition of their own new favorite word : "divisive". I find their behavior to be the definition of their SECOND favorite word : "OFFENSIVE".

I've been working on that overall site ... adding the documentation of projects/events as they came ... for a good 5-6 years ... since I discovered the "net".

The original site was the Give me Liberty or Give me Death Site

But, having said that, your site is very, very good and I thank you for putting the effort into it and the information out. I pray more and more Americans will get involved in countering the decades of lies and deceit that have gone into efforts by enemies to unravel the fabric of our society and great Republic.

It gives me great hope and bolsters my faith to see so many becoming involved!

Can anyone in his right mind claim that teaching this in schools is unconstitutional?

No problem if you do not sign ... that is certainly your perogative, and certainly no friend lost. We appear to disagree.

My point is that the clearly read right to free speech and to no infringement on religious expression of the 1st amendment trumps the convoluted reasoning regarding the same by these judges that says that the wording in the Pledge, since that wording was adopted by Congress as the pledge to the flag, represents congress passing a law that establishes a particular religion.

God is a generic word that can apply to all religions as understood by the founders. The 1st amendment does not say that America will distance itself from religion altogether, and in essence make no religion its "religion" ... it simply says it will not make laws establishing a particular religion.

I do not view the pledge as doing that ... I do view the pledge as re-affirming what the founders established and firmly stated, that the founding and sustanance of this nation is based on the "Creator" and His endowment og unalienable rights.
