The whole basis of the Constitution was the founders affirming that all rights come from the Almighty, not from kings, heads of states, dictators or legislators.
These court decisions systematically taking God out of public life shakes and destroys the very foundation of our Constitution, our country and our freedoms. The traitors and Marxist radicals in power want us to look to THEM for our rights, benefits and very being, the more to control us.
I'm in the sloughs of despair right now, but it's slowly being replace by rage and a determination that these termites will NOT PREVAIL as long as I have breath in my body.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Better yet, the public lashings should be administered by country music star Charlie Daniels.

So therefore it does not need protection? And Christianity is not the religion of a majority of Americans. Humanism is.

FYI (especially since a lot of folks can't get out of this thread): In her opening monologue at 3PM today, South Florida Talk Show Host Randi Rhodes ocompared an ugly couch one hates to the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. Her soliloquy lasted ten minutes or so. Randi told of how she bought a new house, picked out the best paint, the best tile and then her husband came home with an ugly leather couch she had to live with for years until she had it taken to the dump. That is, she said, how she has felt about listening to the phrase "under God" all her life. She is delighted that the constitution has been reaffirmed.
Rhodes is not a marginal talk show host. She has the first or second highest rated show in Palm Beach County. From her website:
Randi Rhodes on WJNO 1290 is the # 1 choice for talk radio listeners in South Florida. She became the first woman to host a daily talk show on WJNO in 1994. She remains the only woman hosting a daily locally-originated talk show in South Florida.
Randi is provocative, funny, compelling, sarcastic, a liberal oasis in a sea of conservative talk show hosts. Randi has been behind the mike for over seventeen years and has been on the air in Miami, Texas and New York.
Tune in to 1290 WJNO Monday through Friday for Randi's unique perspective on the day's news and issues that matter to you.

I believe she is on until 6PM EDT. She may be on until 7. She rarely has on conservative callers but we can tie up her 800 number.

No, I am not trying to pigeon hole you at all..
It's just that some people (not going to personalize this) seem to expect others to call something good when they honestly think otherwise simply because Bush is the man doing it.
And, that's lying. I mean, no one can make the bad = good equasion and still be honest.
It's just too much to ask.
And, personally I HOPE with all of my cold, stony little heart that all these UnConservative moves I see coming from the Administration are an attempt to buy back the Senate so we can have a real shot at changing it for the better.
That still doesn't mean I agree with all of it, but it does mean that there is a plan in place that goes beyond trying to be all things to all people and actually has Conservative values and the betterment of the U.S. at it's core. Now that I can understand completely..

Senate is already passing the resolution against this ruling. Pretty hypocritical of daschle to stand up there and talk about judges if you ask me. And he did not look comfortable calling for the vote either!

Silly boy! I don't have root access (this is reason #14 why I hate Linux). The sysadmin does. think I'm going to ask him to install the new version of realplayer so I can watch TV? Fat chance!

The next time somebody demands you call black white to defend George W. Bush, ping me. I'll set them straight.
One caveat: it has to be somebody SANE, okay? :-)

When he acts liberal, I will smack his nose with a rolled up newspaper. When he acts conservative, I will give him a tasty Dubya-Snacky. Today he gets a Snacky. Good Dubya! Good boy! Good conservatism, Dubya! :o)
I'm sorry, that wasn't sufficiently reverential.

Actually, some schools in California are FORCING students to pretend to be Muslims. So turn your Christian hate to them.
The issue in this case was not being forced to say under God, they say that the kid with a Godless parent has to listen to others say Under God and that is offensive. I say, take that kid's parents money away. If he doesn't want to hear it, he surely doesn't want to see it. Let him not have American currency. We leave those who don't believe alone, then they demand that we hide our religion because they are ashamed of their denial of God.
