Excellent. Excellent work. Again. Thanks for summarizing, analyzing, and enlightening.

So good !!!! Thank you John so much.

Another good one, John. President Bush spoke clearly, and you've written so clearly....it's a mystery to me how SOME cannot or will not understand what is so clear.

"A Palestinian state will never be created by terror. It will be built through reform. And reform must be more than cosmetic change or a veiled attempt to preserve the status quo. True reform will require entirely new political and economic institutions based on democracy, market economics and action against terrorism".Wonderfully encouraging statement. It simply supports the fact that creating a Palestinian homeland at this point would simply be enabling yet another terror state. The fact of the matter is that as long as the teror attacks continue there can be no further movement towards creating a Palestinian State. It may take generations for the hatred that the current crop of murderers fosters to die out, and it must die out before they can approach a peaceful resolution to ths issue.
In all conflicts there is a winner and a loser. Victory and Defeat must be complete and total in order to move on to what might be defined as a peace between the two sides.I do not believe that Israel should be compelled to cater to an enemy that has time and time again proved it seeks only the annihilation of all Israelis. It's time to remove this threat to all civilized nations once and for all. Afterwards, any remaining elements of the enemy that are interested in peace may request it.

"Those hoping for a Bush sell-out of Israel were bitterly disappointed. The media and the Democrats were champing at the bit, savoring the chance to pounce on the President as a milksop, a coward, a liar -- a double-crossing, double-dealing weakling pantywaist shivering before Arafat, Big Oil, the "Arab world."
Yes, and since he didn't say what they said he was going to say......well, according to the liars, "He changed his mind." This happens every time with Bush. After he speaks, the media and Dems look so small and totally misinformed!

John, for a few moments I thought your words were those printed in today's Washington Times. They SHOULD have been. I wish all the armchair critics of President Bush would read your post.
I was so disappointed yesterday, right after listening to President Bush's terrific speech, to then listen to Sean Hannitty rant on about it. I guess he and the others never learned how to diagram sentences when they went to school. They certainly did not 'get' what the president actually said

I knew today, JohnHuang2 would put things in proper perspective. I got to finally see/hear the speech last night on the cspan replay. TAPED IT. People need to really sit down and read the speech through and LISTEN TO IT AGAIN IF THEY CAN. President Bush used some clear language - some of the clearest I have heard in re: to the ME. And he fully understands the import of what is going on.
"For the sake of humanity" - he said.
Choose not death - but life.
Howard Fineman was very impressed (and he had not been the biggest fan of President Bush)....saying that the President announced last Thursday, I think, after listening to all of his advisors - and after the last terrorists bombings - and said: "I know what I want to say". And that was it.
The delivery of the speech is so clear, so calm, so quiet even - but strong - that the Israeli spokesman who said - "Finally, we have a statesman in the White House" - (he was on the Alan Keyes program - don't know his name) = should make those who love Israel understand. Truly, finally, there is a statesman in the White House...who sees the dangers to the world and who longs for peace and stability for all the world's people with liberty and opportunities for all.
No wonder he is despised by the leftists and the globalsocialists/communists---with whom the Pali terrorists are allied.
Would to God there was another Anwar Sadat on the world stage - perhaps there is....we just don't know him yet.

When the speech was over I sat there for a few moments giving thanks........
To me it was nearly as momentous as the speech after the terror attacks.
We are truly blessed to have this man in the White House.

Spot on, John. The future will be very interesting indeed. Love the quote about the 'Rats thwarted efforts to use the Jewish voters even more. Hehehehe...

Very good analysis, JH2. President Bush is very strong...and very brave.
However, JFK didn't really like Bush's speech.
heheh

Excellent article.
Arafat will either step down, and the Palestinians and those backing Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad will end the terror, or they will meet the fate of the Taliban.

"I can understand the deep anger and anguish of the Israeli people. You've lived too long with fear and funerals...The Palestinian Authority has rejected your offered hand and trafficked with terrorists. You have a right to a normal life. You have a right to security. And I deeply believe that you need a reformed, responsible Palestinian partner to achieve that security."President Bush has given the Israelis permission to take out the trash. No more gamesmanship or moral equivelency. The Palestinians will behave like civilized people or die.
Excellent analysis Mr. Huang2.
