Not tonight. The bullies, whether dressed up as Miss Marple or the rest, don't have free reign tonight. When does the "bully" beater get here? You are not too good at this.
To: Texasforever
Tax Cut, Kyoto, world court Not bad, but not great either.
The tax cut was much more form than substance.
No one else ratified Kyoto either, and I'm not sure he has killed it any more than Clinton did. No doubt Gore would have been worse.
The world court? I'm not sure what he did, but who cares about the world court? Do you?
To your list I would ask you to compare: Coddling the Saudis, Burying the Clinton scandals, Failure to use the veto on any of several bills that Ted Kennedy supported. (And while proofing it occurred to me: failure to DEMAND profiling when searching for terroists.)

I really didn't want to discuss Rush on this thread. Really? Look at this. Posted by Miss Marple to holdonnow

....My antipathy to Rush has been known here for the last month. You are simply throwing darts without even reading my threads . Please try to be accurate.

I suggest you see if you can find Arbitron ratings for the last month. My guess is that he has lost a significant chunk of his audience. The only time I listen is when there is a guest host like McCaslin, and even then not very often. There are a lot of folks here who are in the same camp as I.

...Perhaps you chat a lot with Rush and Hannity, who are not in the Beltway but are decidedly NOT in touch with a large chunk of conservatives. Denial works both ways, you know.

The Israelis oppose any discussion of a Palestinian state before the terrorism ends. That's the right position. That's what the Bush Doctrine, in its original form, would have supported.

I assure you, it's really himself the world famous expert on EVERYTHING.........just ask him, he'll tell you!
What you see here is exactly the same garbage he spews on his very own radio show on WABC. Fits in so well with the likes of Richard Bey and Lynn Samuels.

Before this thread, I respected you tremendously, but when you reference a well respected Freeper in the same sentence as Barney Frank, then you have stooped to the level of some of the rest of the bashing Bush and his supporters that has been going on this site for months. We have been called all kinds of names, but I never expected it out of you!
To: traditionalist
Unfortunately, the Israeli lobby will never let us do that Too bad for you, huh? You hoping for a "twofer"--cheap oil and dead Jews.
To: Yehuda
No, I mean terrorists like YOU! Your use of the word "squatter" is appropriate for what you do here on FR.
Testy, aren't we?
Care to compare "member since" dates, son? >:)=.

Don't forget that Rush now uses the New Times as his source -- when he started using that I quit listening!

Someone who demands an answer to the same question between fifteen and twenty times on the same thread (sorry, I didn't count) is not having fun.
Sir or Madam,
I completely agree with you. You didn't count. You just completely fabricated the number. :)
There are a variety of other descriptions I could apply to that particular behavior, but "having fun" is not one of them.
That "behavior" as you describe it, was a polite and civil reaching out for dialog and discussion. It appears you may be borrowing from someone else's mischaracterization of my postings. Of course, you're welcome to do that. That person hasn't followed up yet. Perhaps he's too busy 'high fivein' it' with his buddies. :)

Perhaps you're unaware of the scores of lawsuits filed against the Bush-McCain-Feingold-Meehan-Shays campaign finance reform bill? Oh, for some reason I thought it was the Patriot Act being referred to.

Oh, that Indonesia. Never mind.

Thanks for the icon for Bushbots!

Sir, I protest ! Your slanderous mischaracterization of President Bush is a disservice to America. It is also an obscenity in that it diminishes the revulsion all good men should have regarding the bootlicking, Neville Chaimberlane did in trying to appease the National Socialists in Germany. I am not characterizing Bush as another Chamberlain...Yet. If anyone, that may more properly be laid at the footsteps of Secretary of State Powell. But the comparison of Chamberlain's appeasement of Hitler and that of Bush's appeasement of the Saudi backers of Al-Quida and the PLO does seem worth considering, and it does seem to have struck a nerve.
And I will be very happy if future comparisons of Bush II are not with Norwegian despot Vidkun Quisling, who as Abraham Lauritz Jonsson was also a commissioned US military officer...as Bush was. Let us hope that Bush takes clear steps to direct America's might against those in the Middle East and Southwest Asia who have attacked it, instead of against his fellow American citizens.
And, of course, in a few years we shall see how the invasion from the southern border has fared, and whether steps have been taken to protect that land...or to surrender it.
We shall see.

But I do believe that this isn't just his idea. I firmly believe that he spoke with moderate Arab states ahead of time as well as Great Britain and Russia to let them know what was coming. If they had an objection, they had a week to let him know. But they did object in private, I'm sure, just as Putin has just objected in public. Bush has taken a position which, in an international perspective, will be a lonely one. As far as moderate Arab states are concerned, Bush has tried to take into account their views, but hardly has followed their advice. Arab moderates are likely to say a few kind things to Bush in private, out of respect for for U.S. power, but overall he took brave positions today.
I am among those who would have liked for Bush to say that because of the terror, the Palestinian people will be punished. Fat chance. It is totally unrealistic to think that the President, any President, would say such a thing. Bush has done better than could have been hoped for.
To: holdonnow; Miss Marple
Miss Marple does NOT ".......get into disputes with a lot of people...." She is an intelligent, reasoned, well educated lady who enjoys meaningful discussion and offers a point of view in a well mannered way.

Like I said, watch those paint fumes. Your entire rant tonight has been nothing but cheap shots. I'm just trying to show some of you how ridiculous you appear. And it's pretty darn bad.
To: Miss Marple
"Thou shall not 'dis' the GREAT, Levin."
Agree.....Mark wouldn't be so juvenile.

Oh, give me a break. Read this thread. Read the hate-Rush and now some of the hate-Sean threads. Get real. Tonight I decided to respond in kind, and you melt.
