We won't support a Palestinean state until there is a new government, new leadership & renunciation of terror is what I heard.Thats how I understood it, too.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
Which means, of course, that it will be immediately rejected by the Palestinians, the terror organizations, and most other Arab/Islamic states. And the malcontents on FR.

We'll be going after all of them before this is over.

He is taking, IMO, a harder line than any could have anticipated.Yet another example of waiting for the MAN to speak rather than falling for the drivel that often precedes him.

Bush is a traitor. He has given into terrorism. He might as well announce the creation of Binladenstan while he's at it. This is truly disgusting and makes me sick to live in a country that now offically supports terrorism. Bye.

Looks like I pushed the hot button on a Bushbot. LOLHardly. Just understand plain english.

MSNBC is trying to spin it as "Maybe down the road, a true Palestinian state with 1967 borders..." Where the heck did 1967 borders get said - was David Gregory(MSNBC) watching the same speech as the rest of us?

Today's Bush's plan is a slap-in-the-face to George W. Bush, who spoke clearly and forthrighty to our nation and the world in the days right after 9/11.

He certainly will get an answer soon. And it is NOT a waste of time Maybe I don't understand. How will this speech make any difference in the Arabs' behavior? I'm not being sarcastic. I really want to know.

Actually, not a waste of time.
Rejection will carry its own price. The offer, rejected, will allow for a policy of war when it is rejected violently.
War against this heinous form of terror and its adherents has always been the ideal policy for the situation, the policy which many of us who were so critical of the Powell mission have been looking for.
Bush's speech provides the entre for a policy of war against Palestinian terror. That's not a waste at all. And it's many miles from where we were when Powell was sent in practical supplication a couple months ago.
Not a waste at all.

Anyone who says that Bush just rewarded terrorists is either a fool, a liar or both.He just kicked Arafat to the curb and gave the Pale people an ultimatum-do it my way( economic and security reforms, end to terror, honest, democratically elected leaders, etc)or it's the side of the Israeli highway. A great speech.
