YOU're still here! HE hit and ran away. LOL I know, the vitriol was amazing, but adding in OldFriend's comments about hannity's show today, quite plausible.
Hubris and arrogance is not rare on all sides of the politcal spectrum. Hannity, Rush, and Mark Levin are quickly becoming the Barbara Streisand of the right, IMHO.

I surely did, they best listen up!

I feel like I've seen a picture of the political version of Dorian Grey tonight. Some of us have been watching with great sadness the tactics of the Clintonistas being used by supporters of President Bush on FR on this thread and others over the past year or so.
To: Dane
What you saw tonite from mark is exactly what he's been saying on his radio show. Rather amazing when you think about it. He even snidely ridiculed the President's mispronunciation of nuclear. I just don't get it......but frankly, none of the three is relevant at this point in time.

Ollie's a Freeper? Or were you talking about him being on TV?
Heck, anyone want to out GW's Freepname, while we are at it?!
To: Miss Marple
"You aren't really Mark Levin, are you? He wouldn't be so juvenile."
I'm beginning to think you're right. :)

There are times when President Bush really makes me nervous, but I believe he will do the right thing when push comes to shove...every time. As Tonkin can testify, when he said he would open the headgates after a question from someone in the audience, not more than two weeks later, Norton found a reason to befuddle the whackos and open the headgates. No one believed he would do it. I did. And he did it.

Nah. Just like anyone else, they too can sometimes get too shrill or defensive on some points. Happens to most of us, but not pleasant to confront.

Mayor of Jerusalem, Ehud Olmert, on Alan Keyes' show: 'I am very happy that we have such a strong friend as President of the United States...he does not act like a politician. He knows the real problem and what needs to be done.'
I personally am very happy that he speech was so well-received by Israel. It gives Bush more international clout, and keeps Israel and America strongly united in the war against terror.

And the Bush Justice Department has told the courts to butt out.
To: Howlin
Do you propose, as some would like, that those of us who support the president just keep quiet? That is apparenly what the others would like; free run of the site to to say whatever they want about Bush, unchallenged. I can't dispute anything you said, because I do agree with it.
I don't give a rat's anatomy about GWB's position on the "farm bill" or the "education bill" when we are at war and people are openly trying to kill us.
But the ad hominems on this thread were unfortunate. They discredit the forum.
To: denydenydeny; holdonnow
"They discredit the forum."
I guess it just proves you can't idolize anyone...
I'm really disappointed and will not look upon Mark with the same respect I once had.
To: kristinn
These 'trimmings' of our rights are outrageous and should be fought in court. Well, now, didn't I say that if you thought so you ought to file a lawsuit?
To: harpo11
I'm sorry, but your post is so much sanctimonious claptrap. People may disagree with the President without having their motives questioned or their character attacked. His position on Israel has been a betrayal of America's relationship with that country and of the Bush doctrine. I'm extremely disappointed in this administration. From compromising on the tax cut to Israel - with the exception of the early actions in the war on terrorism (which was superlative) - it has been a litany of half-measures that seemed more designed to avoid outright anger on either end of the political spectrum, than to advance a solidly conservative agenda.
I think Mark Levin has simply been credible and persuasive about the administration, which obviously bothers the Bush apologists who lash out mindlessly at anyone (including Rush and Sean) who are willing to call 'em as they see 'em.
Some of you should simply be ashamed of yourselves for lacking the integrity to join them.
To: PhiKapMom; Howlin; Miss Marple; Amelia
Well Rushie has his show topic for tommorrow.
To: Amelia
I don't get it... I thought Bush was in trouble because he wasn't vetoing bills but now its because its not being fought out in court? I mean which is it?
To: holdonnow
Well, I hear that you're a big girl. If you post, you can expect responses now and then. Yes, I do expect responses. Civil responses are more conducive to rational discourse, don't you think? Name-calling is not productive, and it's so juvenile.
To: Howlin
Thank you!!!!!
You have posted MY thoughts exactly!
I have been watching with interest the growing divide between those who recognize the President to be a MAN, thus capable of disappointments, yet still support him as THEIR PRESIDENT; and those who look for every sneeze, bobble, or issue disagreement and rather than discuss the disagreement or say God Bless for the sneeze, use those occasions to denigrate and withdraw their support with a vengeance.
In my opinion, support so shallowly given is thus easily withdrawn. Much like those who bestow God-like qualities on someone are thus vulnerable to failed expectations.
I appreciate the SUPPORT for our President I have seen on many threads, coupled with reasoned responses that indicate that in all our arrogance WE may not have the benefit of omniscient suppositions about his actions.
Where do I sign up as a PROUD Bush-bot?
