The prosecution has finished up their third week in the case against David Westerfield.

For a look at the window screen that DW supposedly looked out to peer into the VD backyard. Bathroom Window

The trial resumes tomorrow at 9:00am. The prosecution has said they will conclude by the end of the month (6/27).
What a bunch of maroons David's hair is brown, medium brown with grey. There is a huge difference between black and brown.
The forensic specialist, Dorie Savage of the San Diego Police Department's crime lab, also said a strand of hair was found in the girl's hand during the autopsy.
One hair in the arm pit and hairs tangled in her fingers....under oath. Where do these people get their facts?
SPIN ALERT, SPIN ALERT
Man, that shell casing is absolutely devastating. It shows one of two things.
1. VERY sloppy evidence gathering and crime scene management, which will cause reasonable doubt with the jury regarding ALL evidence obtained by LE. This is a pop fly for Feldman.
or
2. Evidence tampering by LE and/or whomever had access to the house after investigation began. Obviously, DW did not have access to the house at that time. Another pop fly for Feldman
Since Kimberly won't give me a reply, would you like to comment?
Anyone?????
What about the unIDed prints? Do you think that since they are from the alleged entry and exit places that they are relevant? Do they show third party?
1. Near immediate clearance of adults in around the home that evening
2. Missed shell casing
3. POLAROID, but no 35mm picture of the blood stain on jacket
4. Forensic specialist visiting VD home, discovery spot and autopsy ?????
5. No apparent attention paid to unindentified fingerprint
When added to all the things that don't make sense and the involvement of Diane Halfman, it begins to look as if things are not on the up and up.
I can't imagine why LE wouldn't have done their best to avoid any glaring mistakes in a case like this. There is already such strangeness and questions surrounding it and its high profile status should have caused unprecedented care. Very curious !!!
What else is the prosecution hiding/overlooking/not mentioning/covering-up/mis-managing?
He takes 2 to the dry cleaners before returning home....1 is seen by Parga on top of the dryer (2/4..sd dirty like from camping)..none are seen on beds 2/4.
2/5..new one is folded on corner of the MB bed..(only sheets and pillowcases are taken as evidence)....MH now has the bedspread on it..(supposedly with blood stain)...and one is taken from dryer 2/5.
Is the one now on MH, the one that had been on the dryer 2/4 and did he take it back to MH at 1:30 that day when looking for cell phone..(with blood evidence on it?) and when did he have time to wash it before 1:30 and the one in dryer is another comforter?
Have I confused myself?
Ping in case yer not on rheo's ping list..sorry for double pings
Flame away. :)
The crazy bullet casing..I think everyone of us agrees it wasn't from a cop. I don't think a cop carried it from another crime scene so....just because the casing looked old, doesn't mean it wasn't recently used. Bullets can look old before they are spent. From what I understand, 22cal bullets can enter a body and just bounce from one organ to another in an adult body of medium build. (edit...and not even leave an exit wound) I was also told that it can do the same thing to a child. As far as blood not showing..that would be strange. IF the blood on the shoulder of his jacket was from her abdomen, it would make since since it appears she might have been slung over his shoulder..what if he ran out of the house and not crept quietly? (say the tv volume his the sound of running footsteps?)
