My son has a summer job at Mickey D . I went thru the drive thru to say hi to him and ordered a Big Mac and fries (shame on me but it has been years since I had one). I thought this was my big nite to splurge. The manager recognized me as my son's mom and threw in a soda, apple pies and supersized the fries for free. I ate the whole thing--shame on me--I am still doing the mea culpas and brought out the stepbench.

Hey mama, you were a burger flipper, too? I worked at Burger King from 1971-1774 while I was in college. I had the distinction of being the only girl on the crew who could stay until 1am on the weekends (which turned out to be 3 am after clean up) because I lived at home and didn't have a dorm curfew! "Would you like a hot apple pie?"
