I worked at McD's in 74-75 while in high school. Had to MAKE the food back then and wear HAIRNETS.

Hey mama, you were a burger flipper, too? I worked at Burger King from 1971-1774 while I was in college. I had the distinction of being the only girl on the crew who could stay until 1am on the weekends (which turned out to be 3 am after clean up) because I lived at home and didn't have a dorm curfew! "Would you like a hot apple pie?"

This is not Burger King...you cannot have it your way. :o)

Rarely did I work the grill...too much grease and steam...it'd play havoc with my 'do'. I did window, fries, and shakes. lol

Those were the days that you didn't depend on a register to add up the order..had to know math, ya know? Had to know how to 'count up' when returning change to a customer. Had to know that if a customer gave you $10.34 for a $7.34 order they'd get $3.00 back --- try that these days and you need to walk the clerk slowly through the transaction. grrr.

The hairnets were a drag...but I sure wish fast food joints used them *now*!

In-n-Out Burger is the cleanest fast food joint in the west.
