I knew I wanted to be a Marine since I was three-years-old. I signed my Delayed Entry Program papers in Oct of my senior year, but in December the Officer Selection Officer (OSO) asked me if I wanted to try for an NROTC Scholarship. I never had any intention of being an officer, and my family was too poor for me to even consider college. I was accepted and attended Iowa State University and OCS, and was commissioned. I owe the Marine Corps a great debt.

. Still on active duty as a Major at Headquarters Marine Corps...my first desk job, and it's killin' me...

Been a lot of places, seen a lot of things... some bad, some good. But I have always served with the finest of men, Marines.

I trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior...I believe in Duty, Honor, Sacrifice, Integrity...

I believe that there is no substitute for hard work... that pain is a good thing...if no one's shooting at you, there is nothing to stress about...oh yes, and beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy...

Die first, then quit.......

Bunny, I forgot to ask you if you sent my e-mail to Mitch the other night. His story about his grandmother and the man who helped him, was the best story I've read and I'm going to use it in my 4th of July Sunday sermon. I assume he won't mind since he let you post it for the whole world to see.

Hi! Not a blessed thing tonight! Its quiet here. :-) I will be getting off at 6:30am LOL!!

Most definitely! I would do it for my family, but neither of my sisters would spit on me to save my life! It really stinks. I wish I had a nice big sister! (I'm the oldest, and I'm the only one who's nice. What? Did I use up all the "nice" genes??)

(Sorry -- I've been purging about my family, and it can get sticky!)

But definitely, that is a very sweet thing for Bunny to do for you!! Bunny's a sweetheart!

A Swiss man, looking for directions, pulls up at a bus stop where two Americans are waiting.

"Entschuldigung, koennen Sie Deutsch sprechen?" he asks. The two Americans just stare at him.

"Excusez-moi, parlez vous Francais?" he tries. The two continue to stare.

"Parlare Italiano?" Still no response.

"Hablan ustedes Espanol?" Still nothing.

The Swiss guy drives off, extremely disgusted. The first American turns to the second and says, "Y'know, maybe we should learn a foreign language."

"Why?" asks the other. "That guy knew four languages, and it didn't do him any good."
