I knew I wanted to be a Marine since I was three-years-old. I signed my Delayed Entry Program papers in Oct of my senior year, but in December the Officer Selection Officer (OSO) asked me if I wanted to try for an NROTC Scholarship. I never had any intention of being an officer, and my family was too poor for me to even consider college. I was accepted and attended Iowa State University and OCS, and was commissioned. I owe the Marine Corps a great debt.

. Still on active duty as a Major at Headquarters Marine Corps...my first desk job, and it's killin' me...

Been a lot of places, seen a lot of things... some bad, some good. But I have always served with the finest of men, Marines.

I trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior...I believe in Duty, Honor, Sacrifice, Integrity...

I believe that there is no substitute for hard work... that pain is a good thing...if no one's shooting at you, there is nothing to stress about...oh yes, and beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy...

Die first, then quit.......

They eat cat food! I know because some went inside the cat door at my sister's house and ate the cat food. In fact, they did the same thing at my brother's house! Come to think of it, they must think they are cats cause they use the cat door!

The Canteen has a fully stocked bar and all drinks are free. Lodwick is usually bartending, but I'm not sure if he's still here. When he's gone, somebody else pitches in or the bar becomes self service. What is that froo froo drink you have there? Jen

We've had super experiences with house and pet sitters while we're away from the joint.

Thanks! (BTW -- the yard bird was great, but it was quicker than me! LOL!) We've thought about house and pet sitters, but there isn't anyone! I don't even have anyone who can come over and help me wash my hair, and things like that. My mother does the latter things for a living, but she hasn't helped me once in five years! Our friends are all musicians, and aren't likely to be in town the entire time that we're gone. It's a mystery, still, but I absolutely cannot wait to see how it turns out! (It will work out, but I just don't know how. Yet!)

With fibro I ache all the time Bunny, but its much worse than usual tonight. I may have a slight fever, haven't checked. I am treating the sore throat with an oral application of Jack Daniels and Coke, for medicinal purposes.
