We are honored to introduce to you
G'nad
...."My mom always said she wasn't surprised I wanted to be a Marine...I still love scars and bruises...I acquired quite a collection over the years...
Newly commissioned, boot 2ndLt g'nad......
1stLt and Mrs. g'nad headed for the Marine Corps Birthday Ball. She's my best friend...my reality check...God has blessed me with her.
Above and Below...Desert Storm, cleaned up afterwards ... somewhere in Kuwait.......
Reunion with Mrs. g'nad, this photo ran in the OkiMar Edition of Stars and Stripes.......
On the range at 29 Palms with a buddy, our custom rifles, and M-14s...Life is good!.......
Winter warfare training with some of my Marines at the Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, CA. I'm the one standing far left. This was with 2d Marine Regiment... my best time, and my best Marines.......
The family as of Nov '01. Rebecca, Mrs. g'nad, Jake and me on the beach at Emerald Isle, NC.
I knew I wanted to be a Marine since I was three-years-old. I signed my Delayed Entry Program papers in Oct of my senior year, but in December the Officer Selection Officer (OSO) asked me if I wanted to try for an NROTC Scholarship. I never had any intention of being an officer, and my family was too poor for me to even consider college. I was accepted and attended Iowa State University and OCS, and was commissioned. I owe the Marine Corps a great debt.
. Still on active duty as a Major at Headquarters Marine Corps...my first desk job, and it's killin' me...
Been a lot of places, seen a lot of things... some bad, some good. But I have always served with the finest of men, Marines.
I trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior...I believe in Duty, Honor, Sacrifice, Integrity...
I believe that there is no substitute for hard work... that pain is a good thing...if no one's shooting at you, there is nothing to stress about...oh yes, and beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy...
Die first, then quit.......
G'nad
Thank you Gnad for serving our country and for sharing with us here at the FReeper USO Canteen. It is an honor and blessing to know you.

Well, darlin', I still have all my hair -- but I will neither confirm nor deny that it's the natural color -- and I look just like the dollz I post. Really, I do. I'm not kidding. Seriously. hehehehehe Well I can still get in my flight suit! (barely! LOL)

OMG....Hubby just told me that Dennis Miller was talking about heavy people having to pay for two seats on the airliner. He said, "But there is always good with the bad........you get two meals!" LMAO!

I have a reconfigured IBM/ Compaq model.
To: MistyCA
Oh, sorry! I told y'all about that already. My flight was scheduled for Friday, so on Thursday I went for a going away luncheon at ChiChi's and had a biiiiiigggg Mexican buffet lunch. Then, I get back to my office and guess what?!? -- my flight has been moved up a day. hahahahaha (Damn pilots, probably planned it that way just to get me to barf!) hahahahaha

Ok Cool. I think there is hope. :-)

Actually..and hold on..its true,..the R.A.F....yup..the Brits were first to paint Shark teeth on their planes from earlier on in WW-2.
Different than the P-40's design which really suited the plane.
During ww-2 the Germans had a twin engine light bomber...over the Russian front..one squadron painted a "HORNET" Down the entire length of the planes body.
Talk about "Buzzin the enemy"
Famous Luftwaffe Air ace.."Adolf Galland" had a logo of Mickey Mouse painted on the side of his Me 109 ..the Mouse had a gun in his hand..and a cigar in the other...who says the Germans have no sense of humor!
Galland was the "Swaggering" fighter pilot type..he loved cigars..so much so..he had a cigar holder mounted inside the Me109's cockpit.
Shift:
My Moms first Cousin flew with the Flying Tigers in China..after the war..at a party..he met my mom..and tried to hit on her.
He offered her his Flying Tiger Jacket..with the Chinese rescue patch on the back.
Telling this story during a large family dinner..she said.. "I gave the Jacket back to him...what did I need with that dirty old thing"!
My dad buried his face in hands..and shook his head...
I leaned over to dad and said..."We just lost $3000.00"!

Oh, for criminy sakes. I am too nice to get mad at anyone! :) It never even crossed my mind. Jen needs to shhhhh :)
To: RadioAstronomer
Now, that's impressive! My husband still gets in his police uniform, but he surely can't get into his AF stuff!
To: MistyCA
Hahahahaha! I saw that about Southwest measuring butts to determine if somebody had to pay for 2 seats!
There is nothing worse than getting squeezed into a middle seat between two 'large' people. Hubby works for an airline, so when I fly free guess where I sit? Not that I'm complaining...
