My prayers will be for your father, you, your family and for his physican. At 85 my grandmother had a series of small stokes and managed to recover from each of them.

Greg, Are you in a position to change physicians? I mean, you are paying for the guy, if you don't like him or don't feel he is qualified, can you possibly bring in someone else?
We had the same problem with my Mother in Texas - didn't like her GP.......she, fortunately, brought in a specialist and we valued his opinion over that of her GP........we are still fighting between the two, with the best advice and help coming from the specialist...........
And the GP gives my Mother hell over everything the Specialist says........ lol

Greg, My prayers are with you and your family. My mother is 90 and I have found that you must be agressive. Get a second opinion. Sometimes they seem to write off someone because of their age.
