The poster actually said "wanted for questioning".

I want to go on record as saying that if my daughter or my niece or my cousin were missing mysteriously in the middle of the night and if I weren't used to being in the national spotlight I would be acting quite strangely during interviews also. I am sure that my demeanor under such circumstances could be considered "strange," "bizarre," "weird" and other such things because it certainly wouldn't be my normal self answering questions under the glare of lights and under such horrendously stressful conditions.

The police did say that they got more info on some subsequent interview with the 9 year old. Perhaps the 3rd interview?

All the ya-hoos on this and other threads that are coming up with all sorts of wild theories based on what this jerk-off Klass has said are just loony.
NO ONE HERE KNOWS any pertinent information. The wild speculation on FR regarding these events has rivaled anything I've ever seen. Usually, you have a handful of crack-pots here with wild conspiracy theories, even on the most venerable topics like TWA 800.
But here, it's EVERY OTHER FLIPPIN' REPLY is yet another cockeyed, half-baked, totally lame-*ss "theory" based on nothing but "did you notice that choice of words" or "he closed his eyes before he replied; that proves it."
It's the most disgusting thing I've seen yet, and I've noticed the "FREEPER NUMBERS" of the worst offenders in this regard are QUITE high.
FR is REALLY taking on the dregs of humanity of late.

I'm far behind in reading this threat (#55) but what I want to say is, I just don't see the uncle acting strange. I realy do belief, that they all have orders from police, what or what not to tell the media!! It's an extreme tense situation, nobody wants to make mistakes. I sadly think, she is dead. But the person who took her, was familiar with the house and the family members living in it. This case is strange and we all willl be surprised about the outcome! I'm sure, it will be solved, but the little girl is dead I fear!!!

Good catch!

I'm with you, I would be in tears and unable to talk, or not very emotional because they would have to sedate me. I can't sleep tonight either, so I am working. Yuk.

I understand what you mean .. I am just basing my opinion from interviews done by other people
And I have to say .. from what I can tell a few people seem to be leaning towards the Uncle knows something about what happen to her

The official story is much simpler: The guy told the girl not to tell, or he'd harm Elizabeth. That's very common M.O. in situations like this (molestations, etc.)

"I now request a security person to walk me to my car at night if I work late, I don't leave windows open on the first floor of my house at night." Good move- don't relax when this particular case is over. Even Utah is not safe- I am aware of some horrendous crimes that have taken place there (remember the beauty-shop murders? How about Gary Gilmore? and so on).
There is NOTHING more dangerous than having a false sense of security, and walking into a bad situation that you weren't alert enough to see coming.

Yes, I saw that interview. Weird is too nice a word.
That "Issue's" thing, what is the heck did that have to do with anything, "well we all have issue's", what?
Did you also hear him state that he had taken the lie detector test????? went by very fast, but he then stated "Oh, I guess I should not have mentioned that" and why not? That interviewer did not ask him anything about this, skipped over it.

Blurbs on KSL-TV in reverse ofrder of time:
- Ed Smart, Elizabeth's father, says that police showed the family a photo of the man they want to question in the case, but the family did not recognize him.
- More than a week after 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart disappeared, police said that they want to talk to a man they think may have information about the girl. They are searching for Bret Michael Edmunds, 26. He is probably living in a 1997 green Saturn with Utah license plate number 266XJH, police said. More...
- The search has been focused on the Draper area because a resident snapped a picture of a car that matches the description-- so does the plate number. The resident says the vehicle has been there every day for the past six weeks, with the exception of the day of the abduction. Once again, the man in the car is only wanted for questioning. He is not considered a suspect.

First of all I wouldn't be answering anyone's questions except those of the authorities and NOT "news analysts" or "reporters". I probably couldn't even get out of bed much less make Larry King is Alive.

Where can I sign that? I agree 100%. Running joke in my family is to be called into court with "where were you on such and such a date?." None of us can remember what we had for dinner last night!
BTW, if my child was missing, my family physician would be LIVING at my house dispensing BIG TIME drugs!

'The dumb thing about this theory is: If the UNCLE did it, why would the little girl need a SKETCH ARTIST to identify him? She knows her **** uncle!'
You're making too much sense. No one seems to want to hear this. It's more fun just to slime the guy.
To: Illbay
OK, I was under the false impression that his photo was put out as that of a suspect.
BTW, for future reference, try 1-800-Charm-School.
