Thank You that You watch over Your Word to perform it. Thank You that Your mighty angels are encamped around about Elizabeth, and that You are with her. Father, we plead for Your mercy for her. Please provide wisdom to the investigators and lead them directly to her. We pray that You would set her captor to confusion and cause him to become ensnared in his own trap. By Your mercy, please give amazing strength and courage to her family as they endure these tortuous days. Shield them from the criticism and insensitive comments of those who second-guess. Father, we commit Elizabeth to You and pray that she, herself would continue to pray to You so that her heart is comforted. Help her, Dear Lord. You have promised never to leave us nor forsake us, and we know that You have not forsaken Elizabeth. We ask You, Father, to bring this child home to the loving arms of her family. May Your Name be glorified as we wait for Your mighty hand to move. Hear our prayers, Father, as we offer them in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Our family lived in rural Utah for about a year. It was as if I was living in a foreign country.
Some of these groups have a very limited supply of future brides (young girls) because of inbreeding and poligamy. In the old days people with blonde hair and fair complexions were considered to be more virtueous. Perhaps a member of one of these radical groups stole her to become his bride.
I humbly offer up prayers today for Elizabeth Smart. Once again, I come into agreement with all others praying for her safe return. I pray for the protective Angels to surround her. When hope is lost, you are there. Lord, I ask that you be the light and the path for those looking for Elizabeth. I pray that you continue to comfort her in her darkest hours. I pray for a protective shield around her family.
Lord, I pray for the person that is holding her this day. I pray that he/she will be EXPOSED immediately. I pray that they will do the right thing. Lord, help them understand and see that what has been done is wrong.
Lord, while I"m on this prayer thread. I want to say prayers for those brave soldiers that have perished this day in Afghanistan. May you comfort their families and strength our Nation because of their sacrifice. God protect us from our enemies and bring peace to those that seek it.
Thank you Lord! Praise you for being the Rock that holds this country together. We are not worthy of your love sometimes, but you give it anyways. Praise you, Lord!
We ask that you bring your child Elizabeth home to the people who love her. Please work this miracle, Dear Lord.
