What does this have to do with the Thread?

Monsiuer, that has to be THE best post of the day! My admiration to you for tolerating all of those rants directed your way and still maintaining the best forum on the internet.
We are equal opportunity pisser offers. We whack 'em all.
You just have to love the humor in it all! Thanks, Jim.
And thanks for the ping, CD. I'm glad you brought that to my attention. The perfect "topper" for the thread today.

Ya know - I've been listening to Rush since '74 or '75. Have all of their stuff. But their latest CD sucks. I was kinda dissapointed in it.

so anyway isn't the CWS starting?
Of course it is. You couldn't tell by them playing "That's The Sound of The Men Working On The Chain Gang" over the PA at Rosenblatt Stadium?
They're not playing that song? Well, they ought to play that song, with those goddam aluminum bats making baseball sound like a chain gang. Clank! Clank! Clank! (In fairness, the lower minor leagues do likewise, damn their little hearts. Sorry, but the Olde Ball Game was not meant to have a broadcaster describe the action at the ping of the bat...)

One I've heard in my family forever is, "Who peed in your Post-Toasties?" In my family, we also use the theme of urination and breakfast cereals. But different term, different brand.

"Threads like this are allowed to run to help the moderators single out the possible trouble makers. It also helps the moderator perpetuate the myth that they allow most anything to be posted on FR."
Look for this thread in a week and it will be gone silently.

"An unmoderated forum is an unreadable forum. Without moderation the messages would sink in even more flame wars. Moderation is not censorship, moderation is necessary."
That is interesting. Of course this forum grew to fame with all most no moderation. Only the most severe abuses were pulled. Of course that was when mostly conservatives hung around here. Those were the days.

Looks like you have trouble reading and comprehending as well as dragging in unrelated drivel to make an imaginary point. Must be another LIEBRALtarian with ruffled feathers.

You're not alone ... I spend less and less time here because of the EXTREME politically correct heavy handedness of these so called "moderators".
They are petty and appear to personalize what people write. From their perspective, the moderators, it is FEELINGS that matter, not truth. Truth must be avoided at all cost so FEELINGS will not be hurt. It's just like being at a liberal forum. Very few conservatives post here anymore too. It's more LIBERALtarain.
I wouldn't give FR the sweat off my back let alone a nickel for this "moderated" forum.

LOL - but I'm right, no?

``Only the most severe abuses were pulled.'' Is this a matter of taste? When I see part of a deleted post quoted by someone else generally it was understandable. Granted, I might not delete every posts that was remove by the moderators but it's their site. I've been here about a year, how much has it really changed?
To: cynicom
"Now with moderators, it is down to a level of personal insults which one can tolerate."
Its not just the moderators. It is a lot of things. But the truth is that FR as it is now is mostly just a Party based cheer leading chat room. Not many people are learning anything. People are not fired up for any conservative causes. There is almost no unification that provides a useful purpose or gets anything done. It is just a bunch of WRAA WRAA REPUBLICANS ARE GREAT---YEAH YEAH---WE LOVE BUSH. I will never forget the way things used to be. The way people came together and got things done. Some hit the streets- the phones- Letters...What ever and some just got the message out to there neighbors. But everyone was united Not just for there country....but to preserve the principles by which it was founded and which it stood. You can't know the meaning of unification if you never saw that. And it will never be here again as things stand now. Socialism seems to be everywhere these days. Even in the minds and hearts of those who claim to be conservatives. I am not against some moderation, but things go way beyond that now. Nothing I can say will change that. That is why I rarely get in the mood to post anymore. But no one can ever take away my memory's of a time when I felt personally connected with almost every Freeper here. And above that we all had a far grander purpose.
