Question about the OKC bombing and the latest Al Qaeda guy caught at O’Hare.

Can someone post a side-by-side comparison of the “Arab” John Doe sketch from the OKC bombing and the sketch released today of the Al Qaeda guy nabbed at O’Hare, please.

It may be just me but at a glance they look similar.

That is what I think, I think either FBI has been tailing him or they were tipped off. What was in all the missing FBI evidence that was 'discovered' right when McVeigh was about to be killed, which delayed execution? I think there is more to this story than FBI is telling!

Padilla was released from jail Aug. '92. Then he was on parole/supervised release for a year, until Aug. '93. After that, he was apparently free.

He could well have left the country more than once (although the single reference I have seen to his travels in the early 90's could also well be wrong.)

Setting ANYTHING off like a missile isn't like lighting-off a bottle rocket-

- it requires ground/platform support gear and TRAINED personnel, power, etc ...

But of course, ANYTHING is possible on FR where *magically* things just 'work' without any supporting or external systems and regardless of the physics involved ...

In kids we call that playing 'make believe'.

In Afghanistan, they called it *killing infidel invaders.* With the *ground/platform support gear* of an observer with a pair of binoculars performing the duty of an IFF unit, the *TRAINED personnel*, many of whom could not read nor write, managed a kill success rate of about 79% against Soviet fixed and rotary-wing aircraft within the Stinger's 5-mile range, about 4 successes per 5 tries. The Block One and Block Two improvement program may improve those rates somewhat, or may just keep pace with modern antimissile countermeasures.

But though I doubt it was an FIM-92A Stinger that took down Flight 800, it's certainly possible both that it could have been knocked out by a MANPADS ground-to-air missile, and it's certainly possible that the U.S. government could have some very criminal reasons for concealing such an attack.

Say, you don't figure Richard Secord or Ed Wilson or any of those other spooks who got caught peddling US weaponry to the Libyans or Iranians has developed the Afghanis or Saudis as a new customer base, do you?

I've got info here that indicates a 'John Doe' was seen leaving the theater shortly after the shots were fired ...

If you think any of the original perpetrators are still alive, or are likely to repeat their criminal activities by all means, go ahead, particularly if you think they might attempt to murder additional witnesses who could help uncover their criminal acts.

Of course had you been around to discredit witness testimony then, it might have have deprived some of the fun of watching those charged as accomplices hanged without the benefit of fair trials- just a military tribunal. I know some feds are really into that sort of thing.

Here's some background on Padilla. He lived in Broward County, Florida, from 1990 to 1997. Before moving to Chicago, his family lived in Puerto Rico.

Note one problem remaining with Padilla as a possible John Doe #2: Just as Ft Riley soldier Todd Bunting was clearly NOT JD2 by virtue of his GI haircut versus the thick hair on the back of JD2s head in both the witness descriptions and the profile artist's sketch- and the photos floated by the FBI showed Bunting as he looked 2 years after he'd left the army in an attempt to present him better as a possible JD2 possibility. The same problem arises with OPadilla's jailbird haircuts, though there'd have been time after that 1991 arrest photo for him to have brown a less-obvious hairstyle, or a wig might have been worn.

But it's worth consideration.

This link to the CBS station in OKC contains a video interview with former OK FBI chief Bob Ricks who says he is 100% certain that JD2 is not Padilla; that he is Todd Bunting. (surprise, surprise)

Sorry but this is not the same man the eyes are totally different. Each Jon Doe has the eyes slanted down. This man's are slanted up. The eyes tell the most if they don't match there is no match. The rest of the face does look the same. I just can't imagine anyone missing these strangly slanted asian like eyes.

I will pass on the information in this thread to Jayna Davis. It is encouraging to see that many are still interested in finding the others that were involved in the Oklahoma City bombing.

There are many John Doe’s involved. The side view of John Doe #2 seems to be a different person from the frontal view. Many of us believe that the side view was actually taken off the security camera. There are many in the law enforcement community that saw that video and know of its existence. It is an exact match for an individual who also was identified by someone that saw him minutes before the blast getting out of the passenger side of the Ryder truck. Other witnesses also identified him as being with McVeigh. The name of this person is known to law enforcement. If he was questioned by the FBI, which he claims he was, he was obviously let go. The person identified by witnesses in the Oklahoma City bombing was interviewed by a local station in profile and he is a perfect match for the side profile sketch of John Doe #2.

One of the people involved in the WTC ’93 bombing was picked up by the FBI on day two and questioned, questioned again on day three. He told them everything about the plot, where the bomb was built, who was involved including himself. He was not held, and on day four, he flew to Iraq. There is now a reward of $25 million on his head. So there was at least one other time where our government allowed a Middle Easterner involved in a terrorist act to go free.

The former head of the FBI, Bob Ricks, told our local CBS affiliate last night that John Doe #2 was Todd Bunting. There is some indication that there was confusion when the frontal sketch was drawn. The individuals where McVeigh rented the Ryder truck may have given a description of Bunting. Bob Ricks is trying to convince everyone that this means that there was no John Doe #2. Let me say again, there are many John Doe’s.

The local FBI office was quoted last night on the same report as saying that they checked into Middle Eastern involvement in the bombing and there was not any. It is disappointing, but not surprising, that even with all that has gone on with terrorism in the last 9 months that the FBI is still putting out misinformation.

We are having our liberties encroached upon in order to fight terrorism. We are being asked to believe that the bungling of the FBI and the lack of coordination between the agencies allowed 9-11 to happen. For many years, these terrorists have realized law enforcement would probably not investigate them or arrest them. They knew that they were untouchable. Atta told the government loan officer, Johnell Bryant, all about Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden. They visited for hours according to the interview with Brian Ross on ABC News. I think he knew that even if Ms. Bryant told someone about what he said that our government would not do anything about it.

Is it bungling and lack of coordination that caused 9-11 or was it government policy during the Clinton years and carried over into the Bush administration by these Clinton holdovers that led to all these leads being filed away and not acted upon?

imo, this is a better match than padilla, especially on nose, jaw, & lower lip. what do you think?
