Question about the OKC bombing and the latest Al Qaeda guy caught at O’Hare.

Can someone post a side-by-side comparison of the “Arab” John Doe sketch from the OKC bombing and the sketch released today of the Al Qaeda guy nabbed at O’Hare, please.

It may be just me but at a glance they look similar.

Someone asked about the age relative to the first photo of Jose.

here's something I found that is even more intresting and makes one think it could be him..

This is a 1991 booking mug taken by the Broward County Sheriff's Office of Jose Padilla after his arrest on weapons charges in Sunrise, Fla. Padilla, who is also known as Abdullah Al Mujahir, was arrested May 8, 2002, in Chicago and accused of conspiring with al-Qaida terrorists to build and detonate a radioactive "dirty" bomb in this country, possibly in Washington, D.C. (AP Photo/Broward County Sheriff's Office)

So if this photo was taken in 1991 it would be closer to what he would have looked like in 1995 (OKC), than if this photo had been taken by DOJ within the last 30 days.

Where was this guy on 4/19/95?

Well, I haven't seen a specific timeline on prison time for this guy, but one has to admit there's a major possibility that this guy was in prison on 4/19/95, which would make him wandering around OKC a pretty neat trick.

Of course, no one in this thread wants to think about that possibility because it would ruin all their fun.

Read post 29. We don't know where he was in 1995, but it seems he wasn't in a Florida jail.

Nichols was her second husband. The first was named Osentoski, and the third was named Leonard Padilla. No way of knowing if there's a connection between Leonard and Jose, but Padilla is a very, very common Hispanic name so the odds are extremely remote. That doesn't change the fact that Jose looks an awful lot like JD#2, though...

Thank you for the info. I've been wondering where she got the name Padilla. I've read on these threads that Padilla is a common hispanic name. Do you know when she married Leonard Paddilo? If it was after 1995 then this is just a coincidence.

Married in 1991; she apparently divorced him sometime between the bombing and the Nichols trial. Leonard Padilla lived in Las Vegas (no telling whether he was from there, though), and Nichols moved out to Vegas specifically to be near his son Josh, so the possibility of contact between Nichols and Padilla's relatives (whomever they may be) exists. Nevertheless, I'm sure this is just a coincidence—I may own a tinfoil hat, but I never actually wear it. ;-)

Good Call! Even if it doesn't pan out, this was a great call!

This could only happen on Free Republic, first your great call and then some of the incredible replies with more photos, drawings and comparisons.

Just another reason of all of us to cancel our subscriptions to the left wing fishwraps and send that money to Free Republic each month to make Free Republic larger re members and stronger.

Free Republic is great now. Can you imagine what would happen with 500,000 to a million of us out there watching the news and then noticing something like this. It is posted and boom, 500,000 Freepers can add to the reply or try to tear it down in minutes. We could out a lot of Islamic terrorists before they memorized the zipcode they had set up as an op area.
