So what do you think the government should do? Nuke the heck out of the middle east and detain all muslims in america and gas them to death? eliminate the whole lot? i don't think that would go over well with the rest of the world. i know that 9/11 was a horrible tragedy, but destroying countries and a entire group of people is a little overkill i must say. not saying that is what you should suggest, but some people are so hungry to destroy it amazes me. Sometimes I try to understand why they hate us all so much. I have read their literature, and websites. They really feel like they are getting the so called "shaft". They really believe they are fighting for some kind of freedom. It perplexes me why they are using violence towards us all, when they are complaining of being treated violently in the first place (not even going to go into how they treat each other). I don't like to think of taking out babies and children, but I guess those kids are going to grow up hating us also. I mean we have all seen the photos of the little palestinian kids with fake sticks of dynomite taped to their bodies. I would like to hope that if they used a "dirty nuke" on us we would retaliate with the same force in which we were attacked. But I'm not sure, it seems the government is trying to keep the peace for some reason...

I can imagine that it's a very complicated problem to solve. And I do recall being told this "war on terrorism" would take a long time. I am sorry to say but i believe that there will be alot more innocent American lives lost throughout this situation. It amazes me to think of 4 million people dying, and I would hope it would never come to that. I suppose after years and years it would add up, but at once it would be catastrophical and would certainly cause such an upheaval, i almost would not doubt for a moment there would be severe retaliation. I wish there was another way. Unfortunately I don't think there is.

We all must keep our heads together right now, remain vigilant, and aware. Expect the worst, but hope for the best. I suspect eventually we will all be so numb to terror threats and perhaps attacks, that we will just learn to live with it, which, btw i think is sick and very sad. I suppose it's like accepting the fact that you could walk out your door get in your car and get schmucked by a bus on your way to work. I really have no control over what happens. No one does.

By the way I am Canadian, and am planning to fly to Washington DC to visit my boyfriend for the 4th of July. I am not going to worry about anything happening, if it does it does. I also may move to the US some day, if they let me in by that time, who knows... I pray for your safety and well being.

Thats a good start. I'm starting to like the way Canadians think.

We don't care why. Why should we care why? What would justify 9/11? Is there some secret Auschwitz the U.S. is running to kill Arab civilians? No. How much money do we send to Arab countries, chiefly Egypt? Are our actions even remotely those of an opressor? Or are the Arabs just whinging children who are upset over our success?

We did not care about the Arabs, one way or the other. Now, to the extent we do care, we might take care that they are erased from the face of the Earth by hydrogen bombs. The Arabs should therefore hope we go back to not caring about them.
