[history]
An ominous new threat against the U.S. appears on a Web site and claims to be from an Al Qaeda spokesman.
It says the U.S. has killed thousands of people in Iraq, the Palestinian territories, Afghanistan, and other places.
And so, it reads: "We have the right to kill four million Americans, including one million children," and it says, "we have the right to fight them by chemical and biological weapons so they catch the fatal and unusual diseases Muslims have caught due to U.S. chemical and biological weapons."

Alot of the naturalized ones need to go to. For many the only reason they became citizens was the fear of benefit cutoffs.

I know. Just what we didn't want to have happen. It was my worst fear ( the like father like son thing )and it's much much worse than my wildest paranoid fantasy. He's the GOP version of Jimmy Carter. A nice guy ... and incompetent. God Help us.

IMHO the best time for these clowns to strike will be over Thanksgiving and Christmas. Just think if a few malls where hundreds of kids are lining up to talk to Santa get hit. The psychological impact will be numbing. Life just is not what it used to be. Guess I am lucky to remember the fifties.

I agree, what better day to hurt Americans than on their countrys greatest and most important holiday?

"We have the right to kill four million Americans, including one million children," and it says, "we have the right to fight them by chemical and biological weapons..." An alleged Al Qaeda website, June 9, 2002.
jihad [is] "the determination to do right, to do justice even against your own interests" [and] "an individual struggle for moral behavior." Zayed Yasin, Harvard College 2002, in his address at Harvard Commencement, June 6, 2002.
"Don't wait for the jihadist to commit GENOCIDE in America to stop believing muslim lies, and to fight to win!!" Honorary Serb, freerepublic, June 10, 2002.

Arab terrorist fear American bench strength. The fear is justified. You "get" it.
Please, get a grip on the hyperbole. This article is just more Arab blustering, something they do quite readily and with great emotion. So what? I recall the Taliban leaders on Arab TV claiming that Afghanistan would be 'America's graveyard'. Five weeks later, the Taliban were hiding in caves and running for the border. Talk is easy but military might is deadly and we have the military might to destroy all of the tin-pot mid-east dictatorships, should we need to. We won't. A few selected countries will do the job as even Muslim fanatics recognize that all the bluster is meaningless when the bombs are falling on your house.

The more someone mouths off, the more they are too weak to really do anything.

The more someone mouths off, the more they are too weak to really do anything. Yep, talk is cheap. If they could do it they would have already.

So what do you think the government should do? Nuke the heck out of the middle east and detain all muslims in america and gas them to death? eliminate the whole lot? i don't think that would go over well with the rest of the world. i know that 9/11 was a horrible tragedy, but destroying countries and a entire group of people is a little overkill i must say. not saying that is what you should suggest, but some people are so hungry to destroy it amazes me. Sometimes I try to understand why they hate us all so much. I have read their literature, and websites. They really feel like they are getting the so called "shaft". They really believe they are fighting for some kind of freedom. It perplexes me why they are using violence towards us all, when they are complaining of being treated violently in the first place (not even going to go into how they treat each other). I don't like to think of taking out babies and children, but I guess those kids are going to grow up hating us also. I mean we have all seen the photos of the little palestinian kids with fake sticks of dynomite taped to their bodies. I would like to hope that if they used a "dirty nuke" on us we would retaliate with the same force in which we were attacked. But I'm not sure, it seems the government is trying to keep the peace for some reason...
I can imagine that it's a very complicated problem to solve. And I do recall being told this "war on terrorism" would take a long time. I am sorry to say but i believe that there will be alot more innocent American lives lost throughout this situation. It amazes me to think of 4 million people dying, and I would hope it would never come to that. I suppose after years and years it would add up, but at once it would be catastrophical and would certainly cause such an upheaval, i almost would not doubt for a moment there would be severe retaliation. I wish there was another way. Unfortunately I don't think there is.
We all must keep our heads together right now, remain vigilant, and aware. Expect the worst, but hope for the best. I suspect eventually we will all be so numb to terror threats and perhaps attacks, that we will just learn to live with it, which, btw i think is sick and very sad. I suppose it's like accepting the fact that you could walk out your door get in your car and get schmucked by a bus on your way to work. I really have no control over what happens. No one does.
By the way I am Canadian, and am planning to fly to Washington DC to visit my boyfriend for the 4th of July. I am not going to worry about anything happening, if it does it does. I also may move to the US some day, if they let me in by that time, who knows... I pray for your safety and well being.

It's not all beavers and maple syrup baby! We baaad... =P
But seriously, I'd hate to see it come to that. I don't think it will happen right now, but if more innocent lives are lost, I could see it totally. What are the other options? Reasoning? Throwing a dance? Baking them cookies? I know God wants us to love our neighbours, but even I am ashamed to admit I am wanting them eliminated. I just don't know what else we could do! I feel so barbaric, I'm craving raw meat right now...

Tightening up North America's borders is the next step. Unfortunately, the damage has been done. We have already commited suicide, but we are too caught up in the PC crap to make tough decisions. "I'd like to stop me and my family from getting killed, but I'd sure hate to offend anyone in the process."
Enjoy your trip to DC

The conservative world needs to stop this BS Bush butt kissing and ROAR their outraged horror at the actions of this weak kneed poser George W. Bush .... or this nation is going down. You appear scared. When Saddam threatened a "mother of all battles" I'd suspect you were scared then, too.
Last September Bush spoke honestly about the threat; he said the war would take a long time, would be complicated, involving many fronts.
But some arab website states what many have feared, and "mercy" goes off the deepend in a fit of fear.
The American Revolution, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, the Cold War, Vietnam ALL LASTED YEARS. I'm sure a few months into each, many gave up hope, criticized the leaders and generals, and were consumed with fear, as "mercy" seems to be.
BTW what about your numbered list, requested many posts back? You are full of fitful lashing out, whining "the sky is falling, the sky is falling." What DO YOU propose? Leave aside you criticism of what isn't being done. List what YOU PROPOSE.

I agree, given their love of symbolic acts.

yeah i see that PC crap alot. that's what i mean about how the heck can you expect the country to go and eliminate the threat in an effective way, when you can't even search swarthy men in airports without people crying out "racial profiling" blah blah garbage. looks like it's gonna take a LOT of tragedy to be able to fight this war successfully without all the big babies whining about the violated "rights" of the bad guys.
I don't like those idjuts and that is why I come here!

Hopefully, those sites are already in the crosshairs. If I were Pres. thats exactly what I'd do. And I'd make darn good and sure they know about it. One more American death and Mecca would be history.
