We don't care why. Why should we care why? What would justify 9/11? Is there some secret Auschwitz the U.S. is running to kill Arab civilians? No. How much money do we send to Arab countries, chiefly Egypt? Are our actions even remotely those of an opressor? Or are the Arabs just whinging children who are upset over our success?
We did not care about the Arabs, one way or the other. Now, to the extent we do care, we might take care that they are erased from the face of the Earth by hydrogen bombs. The Arabs should therefore hope we go back to not caring about them.

I really have no idea what is going on in their heads. My guess is that they people are being taught that the US is some big bad country to blame for all of their woes and problems, when it's their own people causing their crappy lives. So they feel that they should retaliate and fight against the free world. Sounds like bratty kids rebelling against their parents.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what the response from countries like China and Russia would be if you decided to nuke anywhere in the middle east? I mean, I kinda get jittery thinking of an escalation. I can see retaliation for a really bad attack on American soil, but a pre-emptive strike?
