FIRST REPORT: ISRAELI GUNSHIPS, TANKS HITTING JENIN
GAMLA sources are reporting an initial IDF attack on the city of Jenin, which sits close to the area of Megiddo. At 7:35 this morning, a stolen Israeli car exploded next to a bus carrying both civilians and soldiers. The current death toll of Israelis murdered in this latest attrocity stands now at 16. Some 30 other wounded, some seriously, are still being treated in hospitals.
Many questions are being asked this morning as to exactly what the Israeli reply will be to the terror attack will be. It was reported yesterday that CIA chief Tenet told Arafat that if there would be another large terror attack, they would not be responsible for any Israeli reply, including the exile of himself, and possibly others.
This attack on Jenin is seen by GAMLA sources as only being the tip of the iceberg, and Israel will not give it's full answer until PM Sharon meets with President Bush next week.
Radio and TV have yet to report this, but you can get the details from GAMLA:

FNC did give a good sense of the horror of the scene, with stark images of the charred bus frame, volunteers sifting through ashes looking for body parts(so all victims are buried properly within Jewish customs), and explanation that the bus was blown up in front of a prison holding Palestinian terrorists.
I say(with no sarcasm) pulll out the jailers and blow up the jail.
It struck me as absolutely absurd that this bombing was supposedly in "memory" of the 1967 "war" against the "palestinian" people...didn't the Arabs (Egypt and Jordan ??) start this war and Israel was forced to defend herself and consequently whipped the Arabs' butts, which is what led to the whole "palestinian" refugee "camp" situation ? Weren't these "displaced palestinians" actually told to leave in '67 by their own fellow Arabs, and promised the "spoils of war" after Israel was driven into the sea ?? Umm...turns out they were a little over-confident and lost the war(that they started), so why do they have any "right" to the lands they now claim -- and why does the UN and the rest of the world back this claim as valid?
Doesn't seem too hard to do.
The Red Cross is a nice touch too.
Israel's policy towards the families of these vermin should be, every six months, to bulldoze their house, then to confiscate all of their property, place it in the street, and burn it. Do this every six months in perpetuity.
One benefit of frequent attacks, from the Palestinian point of view, is to numb the population of Israel's chief ally.
There is so much un-used land in most of the Arab countries surrounding Israel that could be used to give the Palis a home, yet none of those countries want them.
The reason the Arab Muslim countries support the Palis is so they can be rid of them, and at the same time, use them as pawns in their own chess game of hatred against Israel.
Not that I (or they, in all likelihood) thought he would lift a finger to prevent terrorism, but the west put pressure on Israel to let Arafat prove (again!) that he would reform himself and his government.
Now, finally, the cat may be out of the bag, the tiger is out of the cage, the box has been opened, the rubicon has been crossed. Run these depraved savage murderous beasts off the land for good.
Perhaps if the IDF demonstrated clearly that the families of suicide bombers are 'fair game', this whole bombing business would come to a screeching halt.
That's what I'd do if I were Emperor of Israel, and public opinion by d*mned!
No, run them off ALL lands.
"ethnic cleansing" is looking better and better.
Two words:
We are, apparently, learning that the number of Israeli lives (or to put it differently, the lives of the citizens of our ally in the war on terror) is a pretty large one. I now wonder if there even is a limit to the number of Israeli lives that we are willing to sacrifice to appease Islam. Because, just like two months ago, the Administrations' policy of appeasement is simply stated as trading Israeli lives for Arab (and leftist European) favor (oil, calm, Congressional elections, the pie-in-the-sky future Iraqi invasion - pick your reason).
I'd still like to know, how many lives these things are worth. And when can we say it is enough and wage war?
On the other hand, if we are to have a client relationship with Israel, than we are somewhat duty bound to protect Israel. If we don't expect anything from Israel, than we should not ask anything of her. Meanwhile it goes the other way, as long as they are asking for things from us, we should expect them to do our bidding from time to time (within reason). This episode is testing both sides -- and that is just where the Arabs want us.
My advice is for Israel to forego American $ support. Renounce it completely. It may cause the standards of living to be cut in half for the average Israeli. But it is obviously what they must do. Once they give up our $, they can then do what needs to be done to ensure the security of her people and her state.
I'm willing to bet that the minute Israel announces that they will no longer accept US foreign aid, the Arabs will crap in their robes and beg to make peace.
