"'I read the report put out by the bureaucracy,' Bush said dismissivly... "
More to come, I'm sure
I sooooooooooo much want an SUV .. but I have a feeling I'll end up getting a gasp Mini Van
I have kinda noticed you before in relation all the immigration threads where many on FR have just outright lied about illegal this and illegal in relation to Bush and commend you for those posts too.
No. Because of my belief in scripture, I cannot, in clean conscience, vote for a deciever. Sorry.
That's like funding public school with a 60% increase! It's like Still funding Planned Parenthood. It's like hiring a GLADD member to work on my staff! LOL
That won't cut it. What is the President supposed to do regarding abortion? Issue an Executive Order against it?
Roe v. Wade, a ruling on "privacy" made out of whole cloth, is what keeps abortion alive. If the SCOTUS overturns that ruling, what happens? Abortion goes back to the States per the X Amendment.
You either have to get a "Right to Life" amendment to the Constitution to forever abolish abortion, or, you have to hope that Roe v. Wade is overturned and sent back to the States. For all the emotions for and against it, and even the evil that is abortion, these are the only two viable options.
G. W. Bush using the bully pulpit won't matter in the least about this issue. Not in the least.
Does Rush spend any time on debunking Daschle, Gephart, the lack of Senate action on Judicial Nominees, promoting the taking back of the Senate, or just Pro Republican stances? If so is it a small or large percentage of his radio time?
It seems Rush could help unite and promote the taking back of the Senate and maybe increase the majority in the House. Then with that position he could begin to bring heat to the President.
Help me with this, please, as I don't know the numbers. How many of the abortions are paid for with tax payer funds? I thought a lot of that was already shut off, but I could, or must be mistaken. Thanks.
But we still have to get, what? 3 million women a year to understand that it is wrong? Laws and funding cutoff will help to hold abortions down, but we need minds and hearts to win this battle. And if we go after women who are thinking of abortion as a viable solution, or have already aborted a child, like we go after our friends when we disagree, we will never win, will we?
There are a number of ways this can happen. By reducing people's wealth, their access to life-saving products and services is reduced. Also, over-regulating one area can lead to an increase of another threat. For instance, prohibiting the draining of swamps can easily result in more malaria.
Some examples are given in this article:
Precaution (Of A Sort) Without Principle
One of them is where the Peruvian government discontinued the use of chlorination in water in response to pressure from envrionmentalists. This resulted in 11,000 deaths from cholera.
A deciever?? .. Oh do us all a favor and Grow Up
Any letter to the Slimes on this butt boy would get him bonuses for upsetting conservatives.
Rush, Drudge, Sean and any other phoney conservatives are the ones who need to be hammered. The NY Slimes guy did what he and other story writers (notice I did not say reporters) are paid to do by the Slimes. To take a story and make a headline lie.
When it comes to the Slimes just remember Grampa Dave's old question, "When do liberal reporters and editors lie to Americans?"
Had the press characterized the report honestly, it would not have been necessary for Bush to say a thing. Only in the wildest dreams of a New York Times reporter can that report be said to support the Kyoto treaty, or anything like it. What the press did here was despicable: they lied to the American people about what the report contained, to promote their own agendas
Very observant!
THAT'S THE KEY .......!
I can disagree with Rush immediately playing up what the NY Times liars "said" the report held without reading it himself line by line; but recognize that WHAT THE TIMES "SAID" THE REPORT CONCLUDED ISN'T THE TRUTH.
And that is what is damaging, because in six months, the headless masses who vote democrat will never remember the truth, only the screaming headlines. (And the national press corpse will have played the DNC's hand again.)
In fact, until yesterday, Rush was mocked by Michael Savage for being a golf-playing Bush yes-man.
IMO, Rush has been the only consistent one. You unwavering Bush supporters are all over the map with this.
