It's not only annoying, it's boring. Please, Freepers, don't flame me as someone who won't countenance criticism of "our" president.
Of course I strongly believe Bush should be criticized whenever it's appropriate. However, Rush lately has launched out at the administration on tangents that simply are not well-founded; moreover, Rush has lost whatever skill he had at understanding the political zeitgeist and the political context.
I've had it with his show for now. He never has anything uplifting to say, just whining all the time. He is making O'Reilly look like the Sunshine Man.
You said it more succinctly and effectively than I did.
Perhaps because it's deserved. Had Gore done as many left turns, "conservatives" would be outraged. With Bush in charge, there seems to be a large crowd operating on "der fuehrerprinzip" - anything the "leader" does must be right. One thing's for sure - Bush will get neither my money or my vote this time unless dramatic, sweeping and unlikely changes take place. Like a little justice from the Injustice Department. Or like some actual reduction in government, instead of profligate, unwarranted and continuous expansion.
That's for sure... I've begun looking around the dial for O'Reilly's show myself...
I am tired of Rush bashing Bush and saying he's Algor is beyond belief. It is very irrational and probably driving lots of listeners away. IS RUSH TAKING STEROIDS FOR HIS AUTO IMMUNE DISORDER? They could be affecting his thought processes. FV
Rush's forte is getting to the bottom line of the liberals and what they're up to. That's where he excells. But when a conservative President does what he thinks is liberal he is not at his best. I think you're right in that he does not understand what Bush is trying to do (either do I).
I used to be a talk show junkie but lately I've found them to come up seriously lacking in substance and content. In 15 minutes on FR I can get more real news than all day with the radio. I usually have to listen a long time before something catches my interest.
