Should be required reading for Bush-bangers. But they can't be bothered.

it is absolutely amazing how people can HEAR the same words and perceive/understand what is being said completely differently. EVERYONE interprets information from their own vantage points and biases.
while i'd love to stay and monitor this discussion, i have to go and attend to 'life' things. ;)

Deb is correct. Deb spells her name correctly, the rest is doubtful. As are most
of your responses. Tune in to Rush this morning, you may
figure out what his position really is.

What irks me is that Rush won't let go of it. My goodness, does he think his audience doesn't understand. Talk about beating a dead horse. Whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack.....

If it were up to me, you would be the Librarian Emeritus at a local college or high-school, where it would be a great value to have you directing the attention of the "un-washed," to the blessings of Liberty found on the shelves ... which go un-noticed by the "politically correct" and defenders of government error / excess.
To: itsahoot
The why did he go off half-cocked yesterday? Today is fine to clarify his position, but his rant yesterday without reading the report was just lame.
To: Dane
When Rush starts to take guys like Oliphant as serious commentators, its easy to see that he {RUSH}is trying to hurt GWB. Why, damned if I know but he`s losing me fast.
To: clintonh8r
Why don't you and your Bush-banging buddies just suck it up
and vote for somebody else? That's how it works. God help us if the people on this forum can't understand.
I am not a Bush hater, he is infinately superior to the alternative.
I voted for him, if he is the candidate in 2004, I will vote for him
again. But you would deny me the right to question
the wisdom of his decisions. Great conservative attitude.

You are correct! It is amazing! Rush's positions on global warming have never changed. When Rush criticized the Leftists' positions on global warming during the Clinton administration, the Republicans cheered Rush. Now, Rush is singing the same tune, while the Bush Administration is now helping to advance the globalists' agenda, and the Republicans are going nuts. Now, Rush is irrational, lost his mind, is on steroids, and can no longer reason logically because of his deafness -- yet Rush's message has never changed.
It is so amazing to me how people would rather believe they're correct (and always have been) than to look at and find the truth! Hey folks, I voted for Bush, too. But I will not ignore the truth when it's staring me in the face!
To: Miss Marple
Why don't YOU give US a list of the names of all the Clinton
people still in the government? Facts, facts, facts.
Touche! I was just being a little sarcastic.

Rush has lost his nose for politics. It isn't as good as Karl Rove's, and yet he thinks it is.It's no sin to go in a slump when your bearings are off, and while he did have an agile and shrewd political compass for many a longtime, he doesn't anymore, and his advice is badly off kilter.
Mayne be just works better when he's in the Opposition, and what he wants to see happen isn't what can keep a majority.I think that time may have passed on by Rush :-)
To: itsahoot
I didn't deny you a damn thing. You seem to have a knack for putting words in peoples' mouths, as it were. If you don't like how things are going, identify a viable candidate and support him with your time and money instead of just banging your keyboard. What could be more American and more conservative than that?
To: Mudboy Slim
No, the truth does matter. My understanding from other freepers was the Rush had called Bush "George W. Algore." If he did not, but was reading an email without adopting the sender's point-of-view, then I stand corrected in part.
However, big however, if Rush let that characterization slip without commenting that saying Bush is like Algore is ridiculous, you can see why people are attributing the comment to him. That's not an innocuous statement, one a person just overlooks or allows to stand unless one agrees with it.

What made you change your mind about Rush? He's got quite a track record...
To: fightinJAG
Rush is running the George W Algore quote as the headline banner on his web site. I guess that would tell us something about where he stands.
To: fightinJAG
Like I said on another thread, the fact that NBC News played the clip coming from Rush's mouth did more harm to Rush than it did to the President. NBC failed to qualify the remark as one from a listener's email. Typical NBC though.
To: truthkeeper
If Rush's concern is about the interpretation then Rush is still acting stupid. Because it was the Clinton administration that wrote it and I'm guessing it had to be released by law by the Bush administration.
Yesterday did it for me... I will no longer support Rush Limbaugh.
To: rintense
See also the post from Clintonh8r---that Rush is running the George W. Algore quote as the banner on his website?
Not exactly distancing himself from this remark, is he?
To: 3catsanadog
I have heard this for a long time but -- If Bush gives the Democrats everything they want, haven't they 'got what they want'. This is a little like saying, 'Well, I carried my money to the thief's car, so he didn't 'steal from me'.
This is logic I don't understand.
The things he has hijacked from the Democrats are there now for us all to live with - who has been hijacked?
I suggest it is the American and this country who have been hijacked and hoodwinked.

I understand Rush's take on this issue. That's the problem.
