May 30, 2002 -- Frustrated cops in New York had to free a suspicious gang of illegal Mideast aliens because the INS "didn't want to be bothered" on the Memorial Day weekend, The Post has learned.

In the end, not knowing whether the men they had nabbed were the hard-working immigrants they claimed to be or a terror gang plotting to wreak havoc, the local authorities had to let them walk.

Why is it when people disagree with Bush's policies or lack of policies, they are accused of Bush bashing?

Oh and to answer that question it is because you lack "actual" facts

It tends to help when arguing an issue

can you answer the question or do you admit your mind is closed and that you will support Bush no matter what he does, just because he is a republican?

No I don't support President Bush just because he is a Republican

I support President Bush because he is a good and decent man who is trying run this country the best he can without the support of people like yourself

As for Clinton .. he is . was and always will be a worthless piece of crap and that has nothing to do with the fact he is a Democrat .. I base my opinion on the man himself ..

I understand what you're saying, I think. I opposed CFR, and
campaigned strongly against it. He signed it anyway. What can
ya do? Hope the SCOTUS dumps it.....

how about if 9/11 had happened while clinton was
president and he refused to allow pilots to carry guns?

In regards to this, I think clintoon had SEVERAL opportunities to
fight terrorism:

1. 1993 WTC Bombing (ObL)
2. 1998 S. Africa Embassy Bombing (ObL)
3. 2000 USS Cole Bombing (ObL)
4. Others I can't recall specifics

Ya gotta give Bush credit, we were attacked and he took action.
There's no comparison between Bush and clintoon, imho.
Especially on a "personal" or "moral" basis...........

I long for Ronald Reagan, a President who was both moral and tough. Clinton was neither, Bush so far isn't tough enough.

When you ask how the INS is dealing with illegal alien terrorists, you will hear about the December, 2001 agreement to put 320,000 "absconders" into the NCIC database, which is used by local law enforcement. When you look at the actual record, you'll see that this hasn't yet happened, SIX MONTHS after the announcement by Ashcroft and Ziglar. I'll take the contract and it will be done in a month.

Don't you get sick of hearing, Oh how difficult it is to solve these problems! Split you on the contract, maybe we can incorporate a bonus if we can get it done in two weeks! Hell I can have most of this un-Constitutional crap gubmint on it's heels in two weeks. A bonus for all! Blackbird.

Oh get off the Bush Bashing crap .. because this is where you start to lose me

I am sure the President Bush knows there is a problem and they are working on fixing a problem that has been going on for how many years now???

You want my opinion .. blame the left .. blame the Clinton Admistration and most of all BLAME CONGRESS because those are the people that put alot of these stupid laws and people in place .. LONG before Bush became President

This is a bipartisan failure that predates and includes the Big Creep. I posted this earlier today on another thread, but I think it applies here...

Some Democrats lke to claim that Cheney is a ventriloquist, and that Bush is his talking dummy. I don't believe this.

Therefore, I conclude that "Islam is a religion of peace" are Bush's words.

Some Democrats like to claim that Bush's foreign policy team (Rice, Rumsfeld, Powell, etc.) is responsible for the successful policies and war abroad. I believe that the fundamental policy is the President's, and give him the credit.

So, when I look at the fundamental policy that allows chumps like Transportation Secretary Mineta and INS Director James Ziglar to operate to the detriment of our war effort and our country in general, to whom should I assign credit or blame?

or as mo1 assumed, they think disagreement equates voting third party.

For the record I don't have a problem with disagreements

But you were comparing President Bush to Clinton .. which was way out of line

OK ... that is fair and for the record I am not to found of Mineta and Ziglar either ...

And yes getting rid of them maybe something President needs to think about

And if he wants to keep them then he needs to get on their case BIG TIME

With all that said does not mean I am going to dump my support for Bush because he doesn't have a perfect administration

The mystery men - some with phony ID and all admitted illegal immigrants - could have been held if agents from the Immigration and Naturalization Service had bothered to show up.

An INS spokesman said yesterday, "Since Sept. 11, our primary focus has been on terrorist-related investigations and, contrary to belief, we are not in the business of detaining people without cause. These men posed no terrorist threat or, for that matter, any threat to the community."

Seems to me that if they were illegal ALIENS, with phony ID, then that is CAUSE, according to what we're told the INS is supposed to do! This isn't a bunch of illegals from Iceland; I can't believe PAKISTAN didn't throw up any red flags with these INS idiots.

What does FOX have to say? Have they put any INS talkers on screen to "defend" this monumental f***-up?

Fair enough, but that also leaves me room to criticize this Aministration (and hard) on areas where President Bush's policies aren't serving the nation's best interests, without automatically being termed a "Bush-basher."

I've used the term about myself (somewhat tongue-in-cheek) even though I've supported the President in other areas.

I use the term Bushbots for those who can't ever concede the President is wrong about anything.

OTH, your support in spite of mistakes is loyalty, but not blind loyalty.
