May 30, 2002 -- Frustrated cops in New York had to free a suspicious gang of illegal Mideast aliens because the INS "didn't want to be bothered" on the Memorial Day weekend, The Post has learned.
In the end, not knowing whether the men they had nabbed were the hard-working immigrants they claimed to be or a terror gang plotting to wreak havoc, the local authorities had to let them walk.

Hooray for you. What a maverick.
Oh and to answer that question it is because you lack "actual" facts
It tends to help when arguing an issue
No I don't support President Bush just because he is a Republican
I support President Bush because he is a good and decent man who is trying run this country the best he can without the support of people like yourself
As for Clinton .. he is . was and always will be a worthless piece of crap and that has nothing to do with the fact he is a Democrat .. I base my opinion on the man himself ..
Go right ahead and vote for our third party canidate ..
My sincere apologies. Mea Culpa times 1000. I was so hot on this issue today that I didn't grasp your meaning. Sorry mewzilla.
I am sure the President Bush knows there is a problem and they are working on fixing a problem that has been going on for how many years now???
You want my opinion .. blame the left .. blame the Clinton Admistration and most of all BLAME CONGRESS because those are the people that put alot of these stupid laws and people in place .. LONG before Bush became President
This is a bipartisan failure that predates and includes the Big Creep. I posted this earlier today on another thread, but I think it applies here...
Some Democrats lke to claim that Cheney is a ventriloquist, and that Bush is his talking dummy. I don't believe this.
Therefore, I conclude that "Islam is a religion of peace" are Bush's words.
Some Democrats like to claim that Bush's foreign policy team (Rice, Rumsfeld, Powell, etc.) is responsible for the successful policies and war abroad. I believe that the fundamental policy is the President's, and give him the credit.
So, when I look at the fundamental policy that allows chumps like Transportation Secretary Mineta and INS Director James Ziglar to operate to the detriment of our war effort and our country in general, to whom should I assign credit or blame?
For the record I don't have a problem with disagreements
But you were comparing President Bush to Clinton .. which was way out of line
And yes getting rid of them maybe something President needs to think about
And if he wants to keep them then he needs to get on their case BIG TIME
With all that said does not mean I am going to dump my support for Bush because he doesn't have a perfect administration
An INS spokesman said yesterday, "Since Sept. 11, our primary focus has been on terrorist-related investigations and, contrary to belief, we are not in the business of detaining people without cause. These men posed no terrorist threat or, for that matter, any threat to the community."
Seems to me that if they were illegal ALIENS, with phony ID, then that is CAUSE, according to what we're told the INS is supposed to do! This isn't a bunch of illegals from Iceland; I can't believe PAKISTAN didn't throw up any red flags with these INS idiots.

Fair enough, but that also leaves me room to criticize this Aministration (and hard) on areas where President Bush's policies aren't serving the nation's best interests, without automatically being termed a "Bush-basher."
I've used the term about myself (somewhat tongue-in-cheek) even though I've supported the President in other areas.
I use the term Bushbots for those who can't ever concede the President is wrong about anything.
OTH, your support in spite of mistakes is loyalty, but not blind loyalty.
