Lloyd Christmas told the same story about the grinch. He said the press were all over it snapping pictures.

Other counter-demonstrators shared the same view. "We don't want environmentalists dictating the way we live," said Jose Muniz. "They want to reestablish socialism, which is what died in Russia. They want to shove it down our throats."
This is what we should be telling people! It's not about clean water/air anymore, it's about they don't like the fact that you live in a suburb get in your car(alone) and drive to work. It's about they don't like that you grill MEAT outdoors get cut your grass with a GAS POWERED lawnmower. It's about the fact you pile the family in an SUV(correction: evil gas guzzling SUV) and drive somewhere on vaction.
In other words they don't like the way you live and they WILL do everything they can to make you stop. They've got this Currier and Ives view of how everyone should live.

BBC reported earlier this year that "antiglobalist" movement seemed to be making a transition from massive street protests to political organizing.

The cookies are nice but I wouldn't let my kids eat cookies from a stranger.

Looking forard to that thread MAF.
It as great meeting so many of you today and a fine rally/counter-demonstration.
I enjoyed engaging several of those across the fence from us. I always try and pick the ones who have some openness left in their heart and mind. ... planting seeds.
Again, OUTSTANDING job. Please BUMP me on the thread you post.

The
Dallas Morning Snooze Agenda played it different. I knew they would. Even the photos are carefully orchestrated. Truly a rag.
I hope this doesn't take you to the registration page.

FReepers Rock Anti-Capitalist Environmental Whackos!
Dallas (CNSNews.com) - Anti-corporate protesters and environmentalists were charged with hypocrisy for leaving a Dallas rally against ExxonMobil Corporation in a full size passenger van. Free market counter demonstrators began chanting "SUV Alert" as the anti-corporatist protesters retreated to their Ford Econoline van.
Despite a call by an anti-ExxonMobil protester to "burn" all SUV's in America, the demonstrators left the rally site at the Morton Meyerson Center in the van. One protester conceded it was "unfortunate" that they drove the van to the rally decrying ExxonMobil's environmental policies.
They must have [Bleep!] for brains?
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my ping list!. . .don't be shy.

The free marketers also held up signs saying the following: "Greens Suck," "Mother Nature Guilty of Climate Change," "Get Back in Your SUV & Drive Home," "Choose Capitalism Over Eco-Socialism," "Stop Global Whining," "Oil Employs, Anarchy Destroys," "No Poor Man Passes Out Jobs," "How Much Does Castro Pay You?" and "Greens are Red at Heart." LOLOLOL--what GREAT signs this group had!!!!

They must have [Bleep!] for brains? Nah, $hit does contain some bacteria and parasites. These folks are brain-dead, no living tissue or organisms from the neck up!
...large number of free market demonstrators carrying banners such as "Yankee Rent a Mob Go Home...
Now that hurts :^(
Why not "RAT Rent a Mob..." or "Liberal Rent a Mob..." or "Slacker Rent a Mob..."
