To my Grandfather, career Air Force pilot, served in WW2, the occupation of Japan, Korea, and stateside during Vietnam. Forced to retire as a Lt. Col in the early 1970's, and passed away from a broken heart at being forced out of the only career he knew and loved. I thank him and all who served our nation in the name of freedom.

I don't want to forget my father, who served from 1951 to 1985, first as an enlisted infantryman, then after OCS, as an armor officer. I'm proud of you, Dad!

And of course to his family, his wife and daughters, and all the sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives who sacrificed their family lives, travelling from base to base, staying up late worrying whether their loved ones would return, all in the name of freedom for all Americans. I salute you.
