Let's rephrase that headline, shall we? "Weary, American's mock the press".
John, Dahlink....how ARE ya????
To: JohnHuang2
Whoa! Bush drops the "new tone" for a sec and takes a jab back at the press and their "why do you beat your wife" questions!
Of course, letting the press know they are getting under your skin and tailoring your speeches to counter them only makes them feel more important.

Remember how when Clinton spoke his mind to the press he was called "feisty". My, their bias is certainly showing, isn't it?

It's the three or four left-wing Viagra's issued to every reporter just prior to a press conference.

My, their bias is certainly showing, isn't it? The press loathes and detests George W. Bush: A sure sign he's doing the right thing ;^)

Groovy. I'm groovy. Totally, man. Heheeee

The press thinks
they know the European mind.
They are the most in touch with 'the Europeans'. They are the most 'educated'.
Fact is, traditionally they have been good at telling people how to think, and now, many Americans are telling them to go to hell.
Europe is the only place left really where they have a shot or some wiggle room in dictating to people how to think.

Great will be the day when they start doing their jobs... reporting the news, not creating it.
To: JohnHuang2
They start getting upset when they have no one to boss around, mentally or otherwise.

Exactly -- the mark of a control freak.

"I wonder why it is you think there are such strong sentiments in Europe against you and against this administration?" the reporter said. "Why, particularly, there's a view that you and your administration are trying to impose America's will on the rest of the world, particularly when it comes to the Middle East and where the war on terrorism goes next?" Ask the hard questions but not while we're in someone else's home. These particular protestors seemed to be sympathizers of Arafat and terrorists. Amazing for our press to give them mention.

You know, in a way, these Euro wackos, whoever they are, tend to have the disease that "you don't understand us" and they bitterly complain about it. When you ask these same people why America does what it does, they can't answer.
They are supposedly getting pissed off at America for, in reality, doing the same thing they do...
