Absolutely heartwrenching. My anger and sadness are renewed, I hope every other person in this country feels the same way.

What else would you have President Bush do? He's reached out across the aisle hundreds of times since he became President. The Dems were united as Americans for a bit after 9/11, but now it suits their politics to be divisive. That is the Dems' choice to be that way, all President Bush can do is continue to be the people's President, and he is doing a pretty good job of it.

President Bush didn't blow it big time, the Dems did. He has bent over backwards to remain bi-partisan and they have shunned him at every turn.

What channel are you watching this on? I've got 8 channels of HBO including one in Spanish and I'm not seeing it.

If I hear one more time that "Bush blew it", I'm going to get sick! What was he supposed to do?! How about, "Clinton blew it!". That idiot was in office ALOT longer through other terrorist attacks and DID NOTHING!!

I fight very hard to keep from hating these people. Every time it enters my head I beg God "don't let me hate them, don't let me hate". I don't want to kill them out of hatred. I want to kill them because they are a mistake, a broken, perverted mistake that needs to be eliminated.
Vile, cowardly people who could do something like this to thousands of innocent people are an infection on this earth. They are a sickness that must be wiped out before they spread to more people covering them with their filth.
Those who would take advantage of this to divide us are just as perverted and sick. I support my president and I support my country.

No way can I agree that President Bush has let political midgets separate us. His popularity has remained very high, the country has confidence in him and his team. The media are the only ones attacking him along with Hillary, Daschle, and Gebhardt. The democrats are without issues, the media is just shilling for May sweeps.

I thought the NY Times article today about the phone calls from those who were trapped was tasteless. I didn't read it.I did, and thought it was the finest thing they have ever done.
Especially the interactive section.
In this regard, the lines of the potential of the Internet and the reality of the Internet actually crossed.

Please explain how "Bush Blew It?" I can see how "Clinton Blew it" being offered Bin-Laudin on a plate, not retailiating for the African bombings, the 1st WTC bombing and the bombing of the USS Cole, THATS BLOWING IT! But not getting coheasive and concise information from a Dyslexic FBI and CIA (a CIA head who BTW Clinton wouldn't even see during his last 3 years of office) that had been defunded and demoralized for the last 8 years, so please tell me how its his fault?

I've seen lots of Orthodox Jews. Surely there are more Arabs living in NYC than Orthodox Jews? No Arabs. Orthodox Jews dress very distinctly, so they are easy to spot. Also, there is a topnotch volunteer rescue unit, Hatzolah, of Orthodox Jews, which was first on the scene of the WTC, working alongside the firemen and police.

Well done film, in my opinion. Putting together all of the film and photography was brilliant. Also brilliant was Rudy. The man should be president someday.

The first is that President Bush (so far missing from the show) blew it big time. We were all united on that day, and he has let the political midgets separate us again; and we've really done nothing to avenge the massacre, and little to prevent the next one.First of all, this was a show ABOUT New York, not about George W. Bush. Hell, Pataki didn't say ONE WORD.
And for the rest of your statement, if YOU are divided, that is YOUR fault. 80 percent of us are NOT.

The Times has "all the news that fits."
Not a word on why there was no escape from the roof for the 2,500 trapped above the impact zones. No mention that Los Angeles requires tall buildings to have a heliport on the roof. Not a word that the NYPD evacuated people from the roof in 1993 (the first bombing). Not a word that the NYFD went ape-sh*t that police were doing the fireman's job - so all such rescues were outlawed from then on.
Interesting information but it definitely "doesn't fit."

Anger doesn't even express it for me. Rage is more like it. It hasn't gone away. It never will. See you soon.

I feel President Bush has been a very good leader in this fight against terror.
Tell me what more could he be doing?
The slackers are the Dassholes and the Gebhards.

President Bush is fearlessly resolute. With his steadfast leadership America will vanquish the "evil doers". Regardless of the constant sniping, snickering, sneering by the democrat leadership most regular Americans make no mistake and understand deeply that our most precious and dear freedom is at stake.
I get my vibrant faith from the valient selfless heroes who raced in to the raging World Trade Center inferno. I get my faith from the brave men and women on Flight 93 who never once looked back and did the right thing. They gave us the courage and resolve to prevail. They gave us the freedom lover's inspired cry for our times,
Let's Roll. Roll, we must.
Today young men and women are fighting terrorism on the front lines for our country. They risk their lives each and every day for us. They are fulfilling their oath of duty. We as united citizens on the home front must, too. We cannot let them down. We, the American people, are the fearless defenders of liberty.
Never Must We Cower. Never Must We Surrender. Never Must We Forget! September 11, 2001

It is now on here on the West Coast. It is horrifying to watch, but I am so glad they are doing this. We need to be reminded just how despicable this act was, and that it could happen again.
God Bless HBO for showing the truth of that day. I am taping it, and with tears in my eyes and a lump as big as Texas in my throat I thank God for the bravery of the rescue workers and the Mayor and the leadership of President Bush!

Although I did watch the special, I did NOT need to do so in order to stand solidly behind the President of the United States and with my fellow Americans. I will NEVER need a 'reminder' of this country's worst attack. It is NOT our President who has squandered an "opportunity" to unite this country, but his enemies, gimmies and the press, who have suceeded in dividing us again. I however will always be on my country's side, and nothing that the gimmies or the press can do, will ever change that.
