I've also seen it reported as 'leggings', which I thought were like knee hi socks but without feet.

He (Condit)keeps a bicycle stashed in his office to take off through Rock Creek Park during legislative lulls. Could someone get a copy of this to the black fellow who is the Levy's lawyer..?

You lead back to the question ... what was Chandra wearing when she was last seen, leaving the gym at 8:30 p.m. on April 30, 2001?

I think they mean running tights like these
PS... This is a picture I found off the internet from a website selling running tights

Leggings and Leotards are very similar. Usually worn under
skirt, dress or under a full bathing suit type of
thing when you do arobics. Jogging pants on the other
hand if I recall are a spandex that is very tight
but does not have the give that leggings or leotards have.

Yes, that is what I am thinking of. Even though they are
spandex I don't think it would be easy to make a tight knot out of them.

Chandra could have been doing arobics at the gym, thus the leotards.
I have read some reports of a backpack being found
and these leotards could have been in the back pack.
If you are suggesting she was abducted from the gym, what about the access on the computer on May 1?
I could buy the fact that the preditor looked up Klingal Mansion in order to dump the body,
but what about all the hits on the sites of the committies Condit is on?

If Chandra were infatuated with Condit, she may have looed up his committees. If she were doing some sort of investigation on her own, about him, she may have looked up his committees. In order to make it look like Chandra were on the computer one might bring up the history and go to the same sites. This would throw off the time of disappearance and or death, because people would be assuming it was her online.

Err...if by "jogging pants" you are referring to sweat pants...I'm wearing mine and have no intention of putting them into a knot...OR tearing them up to make knottable strips. <G>
If by "jogging pants" you're thinking of the parachute cloth kind...no WAY they could be knotted like that...UNLESS, again they were ripped into strips.
Another possibility is that she was wearing a body-suit-style leotard, under the jogging pants (probably parachute cloth or even silk). That's very common among female joggers, dancers, etc.

The torn knotted garment that was found, and which police say may indicate she was bound, were leggings made of stretch fabric.
In some places tights (especially heavy weight tights), are called "leotards." It's a regional thing, like calling your shopping cart a shopping "buggy" ;or soda, "pop."

The washington post has repeatedly emphasized that the knotted garment was running tights/stretch leggings

"I've also seen it reported as 'leggings', which I thought were like knee hi socks but without feet."I think you're thinking of leg wartmers.

The clothing they have described sounds like something she would have worn at the gym. Maybe the killer killed her in her apartment and left the "message" on the computer to where to find the body.(because he cared?!?!?!)
It would explain why the apartment was cleaned, why she was wearing those particular clothes, why the map was on the computer...... set up to look like a mugging! Have the police done as complete a job on Chandra's apartment as they did on Condit's? (With all the fancy equipment for blood and all?)

Probably! I wish they would pick one term and stick with it! lol

Lastly a 22 yr.old "pregnant intern" would be a career ending fling for sure. Not to mention the 18 yrs of child support and enduring paybacks for the scorn !!! THAT'S A REAL MOTIVE. Good analysis. I would add one more dimension. The killing could have been accidental. They could have had a scuffle that got out of control. Have heard it said that Conditit has a "dark side". Could also have a temper, or just flew off the deep end when she didn't want to go along with his "plans", like 1) you must have an abortion, 2) not divorcing the wife, but we can still "see" each other, etc.
To: brigette
maybe he told her he was going to take her to Paris and had the tickets, I think Condit lured her to the park by telling her he wanted to give her the ticket back to Calif. Afterall, he had purchased tickets for her before.
