I want you to know that I honor and treasure every member of our active duty military and our veterans. You have made it your goal to protect and serve America. That is why we are a free country today.
I know that freedom is not free. I know that there are graves with men and women who have given their lives for America. I know that many men and some women have been injured during our wars. I know that some of you reading this note are active-duty military and veterans, did your duty and then returned home to get on with your lives. Thank you all for your service. I know that no matter what I say, there will never be enough words to express my appreciation for your service.
May God Bless you all, protect you and let you live in peace.
