Ajo, Arizona - The Immigration and Naturalization confirms A U.S. Border patrol Agent was fired upon Friday five miles inside the U.S. Border, increasing the calls for citizens to take direct action to halt what a U.S. Border Patrol agent called "an act of war." This is one of 21 border incursions that have taken place over the last year.

According to a U.S. Border Patrol Agent, the Tohono O'odham Police Department encountered a Mexican military incursion on Friday, May 17, 2002 at approximately 8:30 PM along the Santa Cruz trail inside the Papago Farms border patrol area, just south of Forest Road 21.

The unnamed agent spotted three Mexican soldiers in a Mexican Humvee on U.S. soil and was attempting to leave the area when the rear window of his vehicle was apparently shattered by gunfire. "The agent was leaving the area in an effort to avoid a confrontation" with the Mexicans, according to Lori Haley, and INS spokeswoman.

"I cannot in good conscience stand by and watch another incursion along our border take place," said U.S. Rep Tancredo (R-CO). "Unless we open our eyes and recognize that what's happening along the U.S. Mexico border is real, one of our guys is going to get killed.

The U.S. Border Patrol Agent, who wishes to remain anonymous, informed Rep. Tancredo during a phone conversation that approximately five miles north of the U.S./Mexico border, one the "GS-11" agents out of the Ajo border patrol station noticed a military helicopter flying overhead, heading south towards Mexico. Shortly thereafter, he came upon a humvee, which not only began to approach him, but to fire upon his vehicle. According to the agent's testimony, the vehicles rear window and back driver's side windows were destroyed. Fortunately, the agent was able to flee the incursion unharmed and concluded the conversation by stating, "As far as I am concerned, that [incursion] should be an act of war."

With the increase in hostilities now confirmed by the U.S. government, Sierra Times has learned that private citizens are making preparations to deal directly with such incursions in the future. Stay tuned.

Future Republican ping!

All we need to do is grant these guys Amnesty, and their votes are in the bag.

"Political reality" ... I love it!

Thanks for the ping. My co-worker told me this story very early this morning. She said Tancredo was on TV almost yelling, and she thinks if he had not made a big stink, no one would have reported it at all.

Do you think they are for gun control?

Until we put The U.S. Military on our borders we will continue to be invaded by dangerous criminals loaded with drugs or Islamic bastards that want to kill our citizens. The pin heads in D.C. better wake up or the ranchers and the other law abiding citizens will take care of it themselves. This is where we are at today our elected officials once again turn their back on their oath to defend our constiution. Lets vote 'em out of there and send 'em back home where they can get an honest job, if it's not to late! for 'em.

Ok, these fine gentlemen must be stopped, and if it takes American citizens to do it, that is how life goes. It is certain that the Federal Government can not protect our borders, and during a time when our Southern border is under constant attack, the Bush Administratin will do nothing to protect America.

Yeah, yeah, sure, sure....an act of war. So what will the Prez DO about it??? Shoot a million dollar rocket and hit some scraggly jackass who's chewin' on a three branched pot plant? Or will he buy the most humongus eraser to be had, PRONTO, to wipe away those pesky Southern borders?

Sorry to be so cynical, but this is a classic case of 'give-'em-an-inch-and-they'll-take-a-mile'. Or is that 5 MILES????

Seems like they resemble the islames in that if they occupy space and find a 'welcome mat', they automatically think they have permanent 'ownership'.

Those border patrol guys of ours deserve a hell of a LOT more back-up than what the govt is giving them. The smart thing to do is call up that 'well-regulated militia'. Better yet...send out Sally PMS and refuse to give her Midol.

Wow. I give up: What "race" is the Mexican president?

Here, a little picture will help you enlighten me:

Ever thought of the possibility that there is no such thing as the hispanic "race",
that the label refers to a broad group of nationalities, and nothing more?

It's taken years for this kind of crap to create even a ripple of news?

One wonders if the INS been "permitted" to reciprocate by sending "unequivocal" messages? Or perhaps the word been to play dumb??

I have no objection to citizens protecting themselves from invading military forces--but they ought remember that they are restricted in both resources and available munitions, whereas their opponents aren't. Whatever knowledge of the terrain and the spirit of protecting one's home can do will be done, but it would be far less costly to have a military solution instead of a private militial one.

Wonder what will happen to these private citizens taking action? Will they have to fight their own government as well as invading armed Mexicans?

That isn't the point, Big Guy. You refer to it as 'racism', which it isn't, for the simple reason that there isn't any race component -- as you can see from the picture.

The point is that you are using the sort of race card name calling to harangue someone else. Do you give other people a hard time when they refer to white Americans as "gringos", which is a definite pejorative? Or are pejoratives only objectionable to you when applied to ethnicities other than white anglo-saxon protestants?

The previous poster might have used an objectionable ethnic/national stereotype, but it has nothing to do with 'race'.

In any event, who are you to set yourself up as the posting cop? If you think a post is out of bounds, complain to the management.

It's the press and our Government.

These incidents have all been report to the higher ups and the press. The press won't print it and the Government covers it up, so as not to offend Mexico.

The press will jump right up and print and accuse the BP of brutality if any alien is so much as scratched in his apprehension, and it gets printed immediately.

The "Red Star" in Tucson knew of this incident when it went down (they monitor all law enforcement radio traffic), yet it was not reported in any paper until Tancredo exposed it on The No Spin Zone.

Only if you are from the PC crowd. Oh yeah, I forgot about the Amendment that says you have the right to not be offended.

"Why in the world would the Mexican Military be hostile to us?"(and five miles inside our borders at that)

Can you say arrogance, students? or should that be contempt?

On the other hand we already know that Arab/Muslims think a student visa includes the right to fly our air planes into our buildings. Is it unreasonable that our next door neighbors expect at least equal rights.

Kissing our enemies @$$e$ seems to be sending the wrong message, perhaps we should replace our tongues with greased missles.
