When Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School snagged National Security Advisor Condie Rice to be its June 4 commencement speaker, we thought it was a coup--in the nice, not the foriegn policy sense of the word.

But according to the Tattler, the student newspaper (of Bethesda H.S.) some folks are grumbling.

'Lately, with the inception of the Peace Studies class at Bethesda-Chevy Chase, an increasing number of students are taking offense to her stand on national defense specifically towards the war in Afghanistan,' writes Tattler reporter Michael Beacker.

McCarthy adds that 'students deserve better than someone who advocates, as Rice does sending U.S. Pilots to kill human beings in Afghanistan.'

Maybe McCarthy would rather have the students hear Ben Laden who advocated sending terrorists to kill human beings in America?

The illogic of the left boggles the mind!

Idiots like McCarthy can only survive because others fight for a free society.

In short, McCarthy is a societal parasite.

You've got that right. I've known many, many people--some way up there--in the peace movement and they are good people. I don't know ONE of them who is a born-again Christian, however. They worship the creation but not the Creator. They use scripture for their own ends but don't know the author of that scripture. That's where they fail. The Prince of Peace is the ONLY one who can bring peace, and they turn their backs on Him most of the time. Their attempts at peace is fruitless.
