When Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School snagged National Security Advisor Condie Rice to be its June 4 commencement speaker, we thought it was a coup--in the nice, not the foriegn policy sense of the word.

But according to the Tattler, the student newspaper (of Bethesda H.S.) some folks are grumbling.

'Lately, with the inception of the Peace Studies class at Bethesda-Chevy Chase, an increasing number of students are taking offense to her stand on national defense specifically towards the war in Afghanistan,' writes Tattler reporter Michael Beacker.

Why did President Reagan win the cold war without firing a shot? Because the soviets KNEW that he would nuke them into the islamic age without batting an eye. (And certainly without losing any sleep over it)

I could actually agree with their peace and loving attitude...if it were not for the corruption of man. Mankind is too corrupt due to the fall of Adam to be able to truly achieve peace without Jesus...and even then our human nature that remains could not allow us to have peace until Christ comes back and makes everything, including us, new.
